We use a mix, but mostly one piece at 1.5. More for tummy coverage like others have said, when it's chilly out. She won't do blankets, so she has one piece fleece sleepers.
In the summer though she often slept in just a tank top and her diaper... It's boiling in our house in the summer.

Size 18 months are the last ones he wore. At age 2.5 and size 3 we have some cute Christmas ones that he will wear for about an hour and then he wants them off. No wonder all the size three footsie pjs from hand me downs all look brand new.

DD1 is 2.5 and still wearing fleece one piece pajamas when it's cold. She started wearing two piece pjs when she was 15 months old and still does wear them for warm/milder nights, but when it's cold outside, she wears one piece warm sleepers.

My daughter is 30 months old and still in them - mostly because she refuses to wear socks at night and her little feet freeze when she's wearing 2 pieces.

@Pirouette: We are still using footed sleepers, but I've never seen them with grips! Where do you get yours? My DD is currently crawling, but uses her foot to get around and slips without grippy socks.

@ScarletBegonia: haha i agree! they are so cute. i'm scared that if i put her in a 2 piece she won't look like a baby anymore
@abbydabbydoodlebug: what size is she? My LO currently wears these: http://www.carters.com/carters-baby-girl-pajamas/V_330-631.html?dwvar_V__330-631_size=12M&dwvar_V__330-631_color=Color#cgid=carters-baby-girl-pajamas&startRow=0&sz=all&navID=header&start=56 (i think only the slim fit ones have the grippies) - but they start at 12 month size. previously she had some from childrens place in 6-9 month that had them, so i'd start there if 12 month is too big for her!

@Pirouette: thank you for the link! She's in 9 month currently but rapidly out growing it so she will be in 12 months soon.

My LOs are so tall, so we stopped using footed pjs around 5 months (when the 6 month footed pjs didn't fit any more). We use footless one piece pjs (Hannah Andersson) with a sleep sack until 18 months, then transitioned to 2 piece pjs.
