LO is 13 months old and I feel fine not using it for naps but it's such a habit that I do usually turn it on. It's pretty silly because I can hear him from almost anywhere in the house anyways. When did you kick the habit?

DD is almost two and I still use the monitor, lol! But in our defense, she sleeps with the door closed and a white noise machine on the second floor of our house; so I really can't hear her if I'm downstairs.

We'll wait until the LO is a lot older. We can't hear her without the monitor.

We wont stop for a long time with our video monitor. You think its acceptable to keep it on them till they leave for college? lol, kidding (sort of....) No really, I dont see us stopping for a few years at least. Liv is only 9 months old, so maybe that will change, but I dunno. Like a pp, she sleeps with the door closed and a white noise machine, so we cant hear her unless shes really crying. The Angelcare Monitor we will probably stop using around 18 months.

I figure I'll keep it around till LO is old enough to get out of bed, open his door, and come get us if he needs something. Until then, while he's still relying on us to address his needs and he has no way of communicating with us besides the monitor (since hearing him is kind of hit or miss otherwise), I think we'll keep it.

I know someone who uses it for her teens! They don't know about it though, she uses it to spy on them. That will not be me.
