When did you move on to shirts and bottoms? DS is in onesies exclusively, but sometimes wears 2 piece pj's, and I have to say, it's pretty darn cute!

Around...9 months? Maybe a little bit later. It just got hard to fight with him to get them snapped. We have some still, and will probably use them during the winter so his belly doesn't risk getting directly exposed to the cold.
He sleeps in one-piece, footed PJs, though, for warmth (little dude hates wearing socks, and doesn't keep a blanket on himself consistently yet).

DD often wears onesies at three months, but she also has several two piece outfits. I feel like I'm always pulling her tops down , but the clothes are cute

We wear onesies under footed PJs for extra warmth still (she's 22 months).

My son is 20 months and he still wears onesies on a regular basis. Mainly because it keeps his stomach covered. Once we get to warmer weather, we'll probably ditch the oneseis.

At one year my DD still wears onesies, but most of the time we dress her in a shirt and pants. She also wears a mix of 2 piece pjs and footed pjs - it is so cute to see her walking around in the footed pjs!

DD is 20 months and wears one under clothes everyday. She has a scratching problem and it keeps her from gouging at her skin on her back. But she's squeezed into carters 24m, which seem to run the longest, so I need to buy some extenders.

J's still in onesies underneath his winter sweaters & separates at 2 years old. Gap 18-24 months & Carter's 24 months.

At 14 months we still put him in one daily, so his stomach isn't exposed.

My daughter is 8.5 months, and I planned on using them under clothes until she is walking full time, and probably through next winter for warmth. Wouldn't clothes ride up when they crawl?
pomegranate / 3383 posts
We stopped using onesies at around 13 months because my son became obsessed with showing off his belly and he got really upset when he couldn't lift his shirt one day!

E is still wearing onesies occasionally at 15 months but its pretty rare! By the summer I think we'll be done with them. When he does wear them now its when he needs something on under a sweater.

We moved away from onesies at roughly twelve months but is is Summer in New Zealand!

LO is almost 12 months and he is still in onesies. i have no idea when to make the switch. probably when he's mostly walking and the shirt riding up isn't as much of an issue? i have no idea. why don't babies come with these kinds of instructions. and a million others.

Around 9 months when he was starting to cruise around. We live in a warm climate so he doesn't really need them in winter either.

10 months and still wears them. She wears just pants and a tshirt too though.

We have a few now at 12 months but started to phase them out at 9 months. I prefer separates more, cuter and easier.

M is 18 months and has refused to wear onesies for about a month now. I like them for warmth but it appears we are done.

14 months old and still wearing onesies 95% of the time! Don't want his belly exposed, in the summer we will also likey move away from them.

Not as much now at 16 months, but he has bad eczema and scratches his trunk, so it helps if he's in a onesie as opposed to a t-shirt.
He's a little guy too and still fits in 12 month onesies, so I'll probably keep them on his as long as I can to help with the scratching issue.
nectarine / 2054 posts
He's still wearing them as undershirts at 14.5 months. I like the look of shirts and pants better than onesies and pants now, but don't like his stomach/diaper to be exposed.

19 months and she wears one under her shirt every day. She doesnt use sleep sacks or blankets so we put one on under her pj's too. Winters here are cold and I dont want her belly to get cold!

He is still wearing them at 14.5 months, I think by this summer we'll probably move to just t shirts and shorts.

I stopped dressing her in onesies around 16 months but she still wears sleeveless onesies under dresses.
pomegranate / 3917 posts
Thanks for asking this! We are at 14.5m and still using them daily! I think we will kick them this coming summer, but until then I am content with her wearing them every day!

M is almost 13 months and I always put a onesie under her outfit. It's mostly b/c it's cold though and I don't like her stomach being exposed.

Every day at 15.5 months, but we just moved into Carters 24 months, which I believe is the largest size. I'm dreading him growing out of them. I feel like his belly would be exposed constantly if he didn't have one on!

She is still wearing them every day at 16 months. I put separates on over her onesies and she sleeps in a sleeper over the onesie too.

At a year he started wearing t-shirts and shorts, just because that is what we got for hand me downs. At 2 years we are still in onesies about 50% of the time. I won't be getting any in the next size up though.

E has a lot of normal shirts but she still wears onesies on cold days at 19 months.
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
We still use them at nearly 16 months! Now it's usually under something or because I'm feeling lazy and not doing a "real" outfit. We sort of slowed down probably around 10m? I think when she started standing a lot.
pineapple / 12566 posts
We stopped around 16 months when I couldn't find any big enough to squeeze him into.
bananas / 9973 posts
I let her wear separates probably around 3-4 months, and the weather was warmer. She still wears them, but she doesn't HAVE to wear one under things, if that makes sense.
bananas / 9227 posts
At 18 months, she's still in them. She's very active and it keeps her diaper in place. I mainly use sleeveless onesies now and have a shirt over. I like the extra layer and her stomach and back is never exposed.
I intend to have her in them until we start potting training, but even then, I'll still use them for night time.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
T still wears them in the winter under sweaters and other shirts since it's really cold here. He's 19 months and is still in 18mo Carter's onesies :). In the summer he just wears shorts and tops. It's super cute. We will get rid of the onesie again in warmer months and probably will be potty training next winter.
