LO is 6 months and about 20 lbs. I'm thinking it's time to switch over, as he seems really big for his infant carseat!

We used a convertible and the infant seat until about a year.

We are still using our infant set at 8 months but it's bc L is a little peanut.

We switched around 10 months, but it was more for length than weight. LO was 28 1/2 inches but only 17 1/2 lbs at her 9 month appt. She was getting heavy for the infant seat then so I think switching for you probably makes sense!

DD is 8.5 months and we are still using the infant car seat. She's a stringbean though - pushing 16 pounds and super long. It's already heavy enough with her in it that I can't easily just hoist her with seat in and out of the car, so we leave the seat in the car. We could probably switch over to a convertible but she still fits well and we have another notch to move for the Britax Chaperone. I'm hunting a deal for the convertible I want.

We used a convertible right from the start because I couldn't stomach the idea of buying two carseats in a year. We have the Combi Coccoro.

LO is 4 months and we're looking at getting a convertible seat pretty soon as she's getting too big for her infant capsule. In Australia, the infant seats only go up to 17.6 lbs and 27 inches, then they have to move into a bigger car seat. Given that LO is already 26 inches long and that we're already struggling to get her in, we can't imagine how she technically has another inch to go before she needs another one! We'll probably get one in the next couple of weeks...

We switched when the kids outgrew their infant seat; for DD that was at 12 months and DS was at 6 months.

We made the switch at 10 months. DS was getting close to the height limit but we probably could have used it for a little while longer. He was several pounds under the weight limit from what I remember.

We're trying to last until the first of December, so I can buy one when I fly home to the states. C honestly probably outgrew her infant seat at 5 months old. She's about an inch under the absolute MAX height requirement.

We're at 6 months and likely 20 pounds too. My infant car seat says it's only good to 22 pounds, so I don't want to keep worrying that he's over. I'm going to switch as soon as I get another car seat, which is today! My friend is giving me her boy's old one for free, which is pretty sweet since I'm not working right now and free is so much more affordable than anything.

We have both right now, but we're still using the infant seat at 7 months. She is well under the weight limit but will soon hit the height limit. We're thinking of installing the convertible in DH's car for now so we each have one until she's done with the infant seat.

We switched around 14 months with our first. We'll have to see how our second grows. If he outgrows by length, then we'll probably switch him sooner. I'm not ready to buy two more convertible though! Yikes!

LO is 5 months and I ordered a convertible seat (should be arriving today). If it fits, we'll use that in my car and continue to use the infant car seat in DH's vehicle until she officially outgrows it.
