When did you turn LO forward facing?

We flipped lo at 21 months when she hit the limits on her seat. I probably would've bought another seat if she'd hit the limits earlier.

Around 30(?) months... a little over 2 1/2. Her legs were fine, but she has a long torso, so she was taller than 1" below the car seat, so we had to flip her.

At 30 months, he outgrew the height limit on his seat at that point.

LO is a little over 2 and we haven't switched him yet. although i'd like to because it's hard to get him in the seat. we talk about it but haven't made the switch.

18 months and still RF. I hope to RF for a looong time, but we'll see. If help her up a little or put her on the back seat, she can climb into her carseat by herself, so that helps

@Mrs Green Grass: yeahhhh... C is 33lbs and 40" tall. Size isn't really an issue for us. If she was tiny, I would have cared more.

We turned her around at 1.5. She kept getting car sick every time we were driving longer than a half hour. She loves it now!

She outgrew her original convertible at 22 months. We got a Fllo so now she'll be able to RF for another six inches. Still RFing at 27 months. She tolerates it well so I'm in no rush to flip her.

M will be a year soon, but we plan on keeping him rf until 2. I turned D around at 13 months and still regret it. I should have been more patient.

@Foodnerd81: For me, it was much easier. At 15 months, my son was an already solid 30 pounds and I was pregnant. I didn't have to lift him up as high to get him in. He could also help by climbing in. Adjusting and tightening the buckles was also easier for me. Plus I'm only 5'2" so my height didn't help me.

DS is 16m and I'm hoping we're able to keep up with it until we need a second carseat, which I'm thinking will be when he's about 2.5. But if it starts to get too difficult to get him in the car, I may need to turn him sooner, but not before 2.

18 months. Car rides are SO much more pleasant now.

Still RF at 32 months- plan on it until she's 4 or until she hits height limit. She doesn't know any different so she's happy to RF.

I'm really surprised by how many people are saying it's difficult to get their kids in a RF seat. My son has been climbing in on his own since about 18 months and gets upset when I try to help him. I have a tall seat (clek foonf) and tall vehicle (toyota highlander) and it hasn't been a problem. I'm not sure how a FF seat would make this easier.

Still RF at 34 months. She's tall so only has another few inches before she outgrows but I hope to make it a few more months yet.

A little after she turned two. I can't remember how many months exactly. We were just having so many tantrums in the car and so much fuss about the carseat. I know others may disagree with this reasoning for turning the carseat around but honestly I only know one other person who waited longer IRL! It helped a lot.

@2littlepumpkins: I don't think tantrums are a bad reason for turning, especially after two. C is usually pretty good in the car, but occasionally just throws a huge fit and driving with the screaming is pretty dangerous. If turning your LO around means less screaming, less distractions for the driver, I think avoiding an accident altogether is better than RF.
