Curious as to when your LO smiled for the first time? An on purpose smile I mean. R is 5 weeks and hasn't smiled yet and I'm dyyyying waiting for it!

We started getting smiles very early on but it's hard to tell if they are social smiles or gas. Even at 7 weeks I think it's because her tummy is tickled, but it's still fun!

One month and two days (so 32 days old, 4.5 weeks)! When DH came home from work and picked her up, her whole face lit up and she gave him an ear to ear smile. No mistaking that one for gas! And she started smiling with purpose from there on out. I'm sure your LO's real smiles are coming soon!

5wks but it was only every few days. By 8wks it was maybe once a day and at 12wks it's now much more often...she's a pretty serious little thing!

I voted 6 weeks, though at 5 weeks was when he first started to smile but it was random and I don't know that it was really in response to anything and by 7 weeks it was obvious he was smiling at us!

At 4 weeks we started getting smiles and giggles but we had to work pretty hard for them. At 12 weeks now she is a smiling machine! They are SO fun!

DS smiled on and off on his own a little before 2 months old. A week after his 2 month wellness check up, he started smiling socially. And he hasn't stopped since. He LOVES to smile and laugh now!!

Three weeks two days. We were at a lactation consultant appointment. Heaven. Made thrush worth it. Almost.

Three weeks. We had gassy smiles before that, but one morning she just lit up when we were having playtime.
