If you had a 30 minute napper (which I used to have a good napper, now at 4 months he's a 30 minute napper) when did he/she outgrow it?

Mine stretched to 40 minutes around 5 months but I didn't get a good nap out of him until around 8 months when he got into a 2-a-day nap routine (established by me).

I had to do CIO (around 10 months) to improve LO's napping and get us past the 45 min wake up.

a lot of babies become better sleepers after 6 months. for us it was 8 months when we nap trained, but it wasn't really nap training since she didn't cry. once she was putting herself to sleep instead of being rocked/nursed down, she started taking hour and a half+ naps. before then they were 15-30 min!

I'd say end of 6, beginning of month 7. He started consolidating his cat naps into two longer ones. It was rough for a couple of weeks (sometimes I had to drive him for an afternoon catnap, which he sometimes still needed but refused in the crib.) But smooth sailing after that until month 12.

DD is 5 months & is pretty much the same. 30-45 min naps swaddled every 90 minutes. I try to stretch them out longer but she gets so overtired & fussy if I wait any longer. Le sigh

I'm in the same situation. DD was a good napper until 12 weeks, then her naps went from 1+ hour to thirty minutes

LO is 6 months, and her naps usually range from 30-45 minutes. I used to try to fight her on it, and make her sleep longer, but I've just accepted that that is how she naps and go with it. It kinda sucks because it's hard to get anything done, but we make it work. I'd love to be able to shower AND do my hair all in one nap, but it's just not gonna happen

Bumping! 3 months tomorrow an 30 minute naps (and refusal to nap in car seat) are making me nervous were going to be shut ins even once the weather gets nicer. His awake times suffer bc he's never getting that great of naps no matter what I do! I sure hope he grows out of it sooner... Or gets better about going down for them at least

LO does 30 minute naps at daycare but he monster naps on the weekend. I think the issue is that the normal sleep cycle is 30 minutes and if they don't know to self soothe themselves back to sleep, they wake up eventhough they are still tired. But that's just my opinion...

My LO just recently started napping better (6 mos). I'd say it changed right around 5-5.5 months. Before that, he was taking three or four 30-45 min naps each day. It was exhausting!

@Orvis18: oh I am so hopeful! I feel like that's the age I've heard most.... 3 months to go fingers crossed!

I think around 5 months when we started sleep training her at night, her naps improved too. She is almost 6 months and now takes at least an hour nap, sometimes more. She was taking 20-45 minute naps.
