DS is 10 weeks and has been drooling a lot and sucking on his hands... I am really hoping it is just a normal baby thing.
Anyway, looking back, when were the signs your Lo (s) were teething?

LO1 started chewing on her hands around 10 weeks, but didn't get her first teeth until 6 months. LO2 started around 8 weeks and got his first tooth at 3.5 months.

It was probably 2.5 months, although I voted 3. He got his first two teeth before he turned 5 months.

Actual teething was 8 months, but drooling and sucking is totally normal in infancy. Babies have to learn to swallow their saliva, which is why they are soooo drooly! I think once they discover their hands they spend a lot of time experiencing them with their mouth. Nothing to worry about!

I thought at 4 months...but she didn't get her first tooth until 9.5 months!! With DS, he was teething at 4 mos and got his first tooth at 5 mos.

Right before 3 months I think. He cut his first tooth at 4.5 months. He's always been a long teether.... meaning he starts having pain long before the teeth come through.

I remember her drooling like crazy around 3-4 mo... I think her first tooth came out between 5-6 mo.

Everyone insisted that my LO was teething at 3 months because she was drooling everywhere, but she didn't get her first tooth until 11.5 months! You'll know for sure when you start to see the little nubs pop up. Otherwise, drooling and sucking is really normal at that age, teething or not.

Our Ped said at 4 months they would start being more drooly and mouthing things but that didn't mean teeth. Sure enough, those things happened the next week but no teeth until 8 months.

Our sitter said she thought she was teething when she started there at 12 weeks. DD cut her first two teeth the week before she turned 4 months old.

Around 2 months is when she started showing signs. And for months after that people would tell us she must be teething. Except she didn't actually get a tooth till around 9 months.

She had those signs by four months and teeth have actually broken through now at 6 months. Signs became more impressive around 5.5 months (NEEDED to be chewing on something non stop, more fussy if she did t have something in her mouth). I'm doubtful that the drool/sucking at 4 months was actually teething. But never any way to know since it cZn start months before the teeth pop through!

around 3-4 mo we were convinced she was teething bc she was sooooo drooly and gnawing on her hands all the time. She wore a bib 24/7. But by 5mo there were no teeth and less drool. Then she didn't pop teeth through until 10 months. The real sign were more drool, chewing hard on toys, being super super cranky, and trouble sleeping.

I thought 3-4 months because of the classic drooling and hand chomping. She didn't cut a tooth until 13 months.
