When did your LO start signing consistently?
I've been demonstrating "more" for months and she won't do it! She just points at what she wants. My LO is 15 months and she will only sign "all done".

Probably between 9 and ten months. She does more, eat, and all done. But she's in day care so she sees the other kids do it too which probably helps.

Maybe 14-15 months? We started using signs late though, at around 13 months. I bet it will happen any day now for your LO!

She signed more for the first time around 8 months and will do that one consistently every day. As far as other signs, I kind of started slacking so she isn't real consistent with those but does know: water and milk. We are working on please.

We started with "eat" and "all" done at 6 months when she started solids and around 10 months she was using "all done" consistently. At that time we introduced a few more and at around a year it was like something clicked and she started using all of them and picks new ones up much more quickly now.

Sounds like she's already developed a sign for "more" (pointing at what she wants!) If she can already communicate to you that she wants more, you might try working on another sign first, such as "please".
My son started signing regularly around 10 months. At 13 months, he still seems to forget signs or decide he doesn't want to use them sometimes. But if you look at the overall trend of the last three months, he's learned a lot!

@sometimesshesings: That's a really good point that she has come up with her own sign.

DD is 10 months, and we've been signing since 8 months. She responds to me when I do the sign (more so than when she hears me just say the word), but she isn't doing them yet.
We're signing & understanding: milk, eat, more, again, all done
We're slackers with: Mommy, Daddy, bath, water

We started at 6 months and at 10 months she signed back for the 1st time - then about a month later at 11 months so signed a lot - so it took about 5 months

Right around a year. She actually started right before she began using the words consistently.

*All done* was fairly consistent at 12 months, but now at 14 months, *more* is also in her regular repertoire.

I started at 6 months and at probably 15 months he started signing more all the time. 16 months all done. And that's pretty much all we've done he doesn't sign or say please but he does say eat or cheese or cracker when he wants to eat. He's 18 mos.

I've been doing signs with her since she was 6 months, however she's never really picked up on them. She started talking more than signing them. She repeats the words not the signs, so I guess that's okay!
