Just curious when your LO weaned his or herself? LO is only 4 months old and is EBF. I love being able to feed/comfort him since I wasn't able to with my first.
When did your LO wean and how did it happen?

DS is almost 15 months old and shows no signs of self weaning despite the fact that I am 20 weeks pregnant! He still nurses 4 times a day and would more if I let him.

DS turns one tomorrow and shows no signs of self weaning. He nurses 3-4 times per day. Less if we are out and he is distracted though.
Interested to hear responses because I'm ready to wean but not looking forward to the process.

@Beyond2: @MamaJ: hi ladies. So do any of your sessions happen in the middle of the night? or is it mainly in the daytime? If daytime, when did your MOTN sessions end?

She weaned at 13 months. It was gradual by 12 months we were only nursing in the am anyway.

@Cchoi4: DS STTN about half the time. And if he wakes at night I do nurse him. Though after a terrible night of sleep last night (teething maybe?) I told myself no more MOTN nursing. I always cave though...
It is rare that he wakes more than once though. And it's usually a super quick nursing session and right back to sleep.

@Cchoi4: I night weaned my son using the Sleep easy night weaning method just before DS's first birthday. I was fine nursing him still but i was done with waking up in the middle of the night lol.

LO just turned 14 months. When she turned 1, she showed no signs of slowing down. She nursed in the morning, in the afternoon, and before she went to bed. I slowly stopped afternoon one and by accident she stopped the night one (we had been out late for couple of days in a row) and she just slept through the carseat to crib transfer. And magically at around 13 months, she lost all interest slowly.

By 15 months we were down to one early morning session. I think we might have kept that a while longer, but then he got sick, was so congested that he couldn't latch on/breathe through his nose, so he stopped. My long-term goal was a year and I had no interest in pumping to keep up my supply (which I think was starting to dwindle anyway), so when he was well enough to try again I was dried up.

14.5 months. I woh though and I think she would've gone longer ifi stayed at home. I had no supply left.

Miss A is almost fourteen months and still nursing 6-10 times in a 24 hour period, incl 1-2 sessions during the night (although she sometimes wakes and we bed share without nursing).

Dd didnt self wean. I made her stop at around 28 months.
DS weaned at 10.5 months and I've been pumping. He drinks his breastmilk from a straw. One day he started crying and fighting me when I tried to nurse him.
Sad times, but I'm glad I'll be done soon!

Ellie stopped at age 5. She was down to just nursing before bed and occasionally when really upset about something.
Lorelei is still nursing at 20 months, in the daytime and in the night. She nurses about 2x after she goes down for the night, but doesn't fully wake up for those nursings. During the day it varies depending on what we're up to.

14 months. She was down to 2 nursing sessions around 12 months and I stopped offering the night session bc she would barely nurse (a few seconds) and then after a few weeks I didn't nurse her first thing in the morning and just gave her a cup of water and headed down to breakfast and she never complained or tried to nurse after that so we were done...that morning session had become super short too and she was eating a ton of solids

10.5 months, which I read is pretty early. But she got a cold around then and hasn't wanted to since!

She didn't. I weaned her. She hasn't nursed in 5 days . . . she just turned 15 months. It was time. Even though I am still sad about it.

Still going strong and nursing 4-6 times per day and throughout the night (I'm not sure how many times because I don't count them; we cosleep so neither of us fully wakes) at 11 months. I'm also still pumping and will until at least a year. I'm going to try to cut down some of the night sessions and possibly pump less after the new year.

We're at 3x a day, hoping to be at 2 by Christmas. He signs for milk if he wants it, and I took a don't offer, don't refuse approach to dropping the first day feed and so far he couldn't care any less, he loves having a snack! Makes me half sad, half glad that he's on board with the transition.

Still going strong at 16 months. She nurses ALL DAY on the weekends, and about 4x a day during the week (I work out of the home). Usually once or twice in the middle of the night. I'd love it if she'd drop those motn feedings!!

She's almost 11 months and still nursing 6/7 times a day. I think I'm in it for a lot longer.

Still at 4x a day at 13.5 months. I'd like to be at 2 by end of the year! We'll see how that goes...

DD stopped MOTN at 12 months - then she weaned on her own at 15 months - she was never a comfort nurser though - she nursed solely for food!
DS was a boob monster!! HUGE comfort nurser - he stopped MOTN at 12 months and then I weaned him at 20 months!

DD dropped her night session around 6-7 months and weaned a few months after I started back to work at her first birthday. I'm pretty sure her last nursing session was somewhere between 14-15 months

17.5 months and the twins are still nursing. They nurse in the morning, when I get home from work and sometimes before bed then whenever they wake at night. We cosleep so it is easy in that I sleep in the middle of them and just turn over. They have open access on the weekends.

She is 19m and we are still nursing 2-3x a day. If I go get her MOTN we nurse. She is showing no signs of self weaning...... And I don't have the heart to wean but also have no desire to tandem nurse.
