My LO is almost 8 months and I'm still scared! He rolls both ways like a champ and has started crawling, but this doesn't stop me from zooming in on the camera to make sure his body is moving up and down from his breathing! When did your fear of SIDS go away if ever??

LO is almost 6 months and I'm still terrified! Even though we have a motion sensing monitor I still go in and put my hand on his back to make sure he's still breathing.

DS is 5 months and I still worry about it. Although not as much as I used to. I still can't go to sleep at night unless I hear him breathing.

DD will be 9 months this Friday and I still check her breathing regularly. Maybe when she's 1 or can actually walk around on her own I'll feel better?

LO is 3 months old but I don't see the fear going away until her first birthday, when I'm sure I'll start worrying about other stuff (: I never knew how much moms could worry! Even the idea of her using a fork one day has me worried she'll poke an eye out! (:

DD will be 1 in a few days, and I still constantly check the video monitor to make sure she's breathing. I've slowly become more relaxed about it, but I'm not sure when the fear will entirely go away.

I still worry occasionally & LO is 7 months.
You know when you're driving for 8 hours overnight alone and your kid has been quiet for so long your mind starts to wonder if SIDS can happen in a carseat? NEVER HAPPENED. AHEM.

My LO is 7.5 months and I still zoom in on him breathing sometimes, just to be sure. But I'm not obsessively starting at him to make sure, either. That stopped probably around a month ago
@sera_87: Hour 3 of an 8 hour drive and we hadn't heard a peep from him in over two hours. DH was driving and I totally climbed into the backseat to make sure he was still breathing

Lo is 9 mons old and I still worry when she seems to be sleeping longer than she normally does.

At 9 months I still worry but mostly for longer naps or when she sleeps in (meaning 4am haha).

I don't worry (LO is 2 months on Saturday) but ask me again once we transition him to his crib. He's in the rock n play next to our bed but we plan to transition him before 6 months (ideally within the next month -- he goes to daycare at 12 weeks and needs to learn to sleep in a crib). I'm sure I'll be a wreck.

9 months old. Still check on her. Last night I definitely DID NOT shake her because I couldn't tell if she was breathing at 3am. Definitely not something I did.

LO is 3 months and I just read that he's at peak SIDS age. Now I'm terrified!

I know I am going to stress over it nonstop... heck, I already am and she isnt here yet. It is exactly why we are getting the Snuza Halo. It lets me know if she stops breathing and tries to rouse her if it happens. I am hoping it will atleast help.

Lo is 6 months and I still worry. She's still in her cot/crib in our room because I still get up randomly in the night to check that she's still breathing. She's a pretty quiet sleeper which usually makes me more paranoid.

My son is 11 months and I still worry at night. I typically wake up 2 or 3 times a night to check the monitor. But I don't feel absolutely consumed by the thought like I did for the first 6 months. We had friends lose their 3 month old boy to SIDS when I was around 30 weeks pregnant and it really terrified me.

DD is almost 14 months and I still check her monitor regularly. Too many scary stories and I'm sure free this, there is something else to be worrie about. My mom said she still worries about my well being everyday. Oh the mom craziness.

DS just hit 4 months and I still check the monitor religiously to make sure he's breathing throughout the night.

i am not sure it will ever go away. at least once a night i put my hand on his back to make sure its moving up and doen. last night he was sleeping ON me and i had to hold my breath to make sure he wasn't breathing too shallow.

I must be an odd ball. I haven't worried about SIDs with either of my children. DS is nearly 14 months, DD is 3 weeks. I had a lot of questions when DS was born about how he should sleep but I was never worried about him sleeping. The only time I ever worried was when he slept longer than I thought he should and I wondered if I should wake him or let him sleep!

Honestly, I still worry about this with my 3yo. She has become a crazy sleeper and I sometimes find her upside down with her head under the covers which scares me.

I totally do. Like @ladyfingers: my LO will be 8 weeks on Sat. I had her in a rock and play for the first 5 weeks or so. She is in the crib now and I have a motion sensing monitor which puts my mind at much ease. But I still worry.
