I swear LO has been teething since 3 months and his symptoms are getting worse (he's 5 months now)! I'm just waiting for a tooth to pop through but nothing yet! When did your LO start teething and when did the first tooth come?

Her first tooth popped in before she turned 4 months and the second came the next week. I didn't notice any teething or drooling before that.

My LO's 7 months and no teeth yet, although she has been "biting" while nursing. So painful.

@Mrsbells: Mine is the same way, but she's 4.5 months. I keep wondering when it's going to happen!

DD got her first at 6 months; DS got his first at 3 months.
I think the most painful time is not during "active teething" (aka when the tooth is clearly breaking the surface of the gums) but the "pre-teething" time (aka when the teeth are moving down through the gums in preparation of active teething). That takes a lot longer (sometimes a couple months for DD, although DS is a lot shorter) and that seems to be the time my kids are the crankiest. Usually, by the time the tooth finally breaks the surface, they're doing fine!

His first tooth popped thru just last week and 6.5-ish months! I could have sworn he was showing signs of teething at 3 months and that we'd see a tooth at 4 months!

Hes been drooling like crazy since about 2 months. I noticed his gums looking a little red since he was about 4 months. His first tooth popped out about a week ago when he was just over 5 months and his second tooth popped out a couple of days after.

LO is in the 2nd week of her 5th month. She got both of her bottom teeth a week before she turned 5 months. We weren't expecting them and I hope the top two don't come for a long time.

LO has been so drooly since 7 weeks... and at just over 4 months STILL NOTHING. !!
He drools, he chews and bites, his gums have bled, I swear I keep seeing tooth sized swelling--sometimes even with a white "shadow." NOTHING. No teeth!

LO is three months and I *think* she might be teething. She just started refusing the bottle yesterday, which apparently may indicate sore gums, but bf'ing doesn't bother her, so I don't know. She's been a drooling machine for the past few weeks and has been gnawing on her hand for that same amount of time. I ran my finger over her bottom gums today and she loved that, so maybe they're sore?
Apparently the age babies get their teeth is hereditary. I was 2 months old when I got my first tooth so if that's true, there is a good chance DD is actually teething. We shall see!
