We just packed up our jumper. The boys are 11 months. Elliot still sort of liked it for short periods of time, but not nearly as much, and Finn barely tolerated it. The more mobile they got the less they liked it. I miss it, though!

If your LO can touch the base of the exersaucer with flat feet, he has outgrown it (he should just be able to reach the bottom with the balls of his feet). If he is too tall, you may want to try a PnP or baby gate/pen for him to play in.

DD outgrew the exersaucer in terms of her height long before she grew disinterested in it. Even after we stopped putting her in it, she liked to use it to pull herself up and practice her cruising, so we kept it in our living room until we put out the standing table.

If you are looking for ways to contain LO, a play gate may be a good bet, or maybe a designated set of kitchen toys? DD has a miniature set of pots/pans/spoons/oven mitts that only stay in the kitchen - she really likes them, so they will keep her occupied for about 20 minutes at a time. A high chair tray of Cheerios will also contain her for long stretches.

DS is 7 months and still loves the exersaucer. He LOVES jumping in it. I remember reading in the manual babies should only use the exersaucer with the balls/toes of their feet. Once they're flat footed, you need to raise it or they've outgrown it.

I agree with PP that maybe a playpen or a baby gate would be a good option for you!
