She's 17 months and hasn't sAid it yet. Though when I ask her "how much do you love mommy?", she stretches her arms out and goes "thiiiiiis much"

She says her version of it. I think she was 18 months. She only says it when we say it first but it melts my heart.

He would parrot it pretty early but I feel like he was 2.5 before he really realized what he was saying and meant it.

He's never said it unprompted, but I love it either way. He was able to start repeated a version of it around 18 months or so.

Aw! So many loving HB babies!
I should say that it is prompted by DH kissing her goodnight so it's more a part of that routine - I know she doesn't really get it but it is still so sweet. I made him go out & come back in to kiss her to hear it again!
@Smurfette: @lawbee11: Oh yes it sounds nothing like the real words - it's like "yuh yoo"

She said it for the first time this morning at 21 months. I about died with the sweetness.

My LO started saying this at 25 months. And she says it super cute..."Yuh you, mama. Yuh you, dada."
Something she said yesterday at exactly 26 months that melted me to death was "Miss mama," saying that she missed me... Because I was gone all week for a meeting and I picked her up from daycare right after I landed and when she hugged me and was so excited to see me she said, "Miss mama!" Because my husband talked to her all week about missing mama, and I guess she picked it up:)

Once in a while at 2 1/2, but once he turned 3 it's constant hugs and snuggles and I love you's. I'm totally digging this 3 year-old thing!

Just last night at 20 months. I said it to her and she articulated it right back to me. She normally just stares or gives me a hug when I say it.

I can't rememeber!!! She's been saying it for months and says it all the time now at 29 months. It's the sweetest thing ever.

22ish months? It was one of his earliest 2+ word phrases. I luh youuu! He says it multiple times a day now, usually following a hug/kiss.

She is 28 months and has been saying a version of t for about a month or so. She says it unprompted now, too, and it's the sweetest thing I have ever hear in my entire life. Sometimes as I'm leaving her room after putting her in the crib, she lays there saying "mama... I yyyaaaa (her version)". So stinking cute.
She doesn't necessarily know what the words mean but she definitely gets that it has to do with affection. She only says it unprompted to Dh and me, but will occasionally say it to my parents on FaceTime if they say it first.

24 months. It felt like it took forever. She said things like "mama, love" "love daddy" but no "I love yous" until recently. She says it to the baby all the time. Baby sister had probably heard it more than anyone.

She started repeating it probably around 23-24 months but she didn't start saying it unprompted until 2.5...and I love it SO MUCH. It's like all the hard parenting pays off when you hear, "I love you, mom" come out of their mouths and especially, out of the blue!

When we say "I love you" to her, she just blows a kiss back to us. She's 18 months and I'm pretty sure she thinks 'I love you" is the prompt for blowing a kiss.

Xander said it for the first time a couple days ago! He's 23 months.
