@lovehoneybee: See that's why I need this survey just so I'm prepared for any scenarios haha!

@Adira: Crazy! I'm thinking about this today to think about when K might start solids, might need to get a new bathtub, etc...

I am never sure exactly what this question is asking. Right around 6 mo LO could sit up with no help for a few minutes at a time if I put her sitting up. But she didn't figure out how to sit up by herself (and at that point got incredibly stable) until 7.5 mo

@Mae: I think I'm asking why they can sit by themselves without needing to be propped up or held, NOT when they can pull themselves up to sit?
papaya / 10343 posts
@snowjewelz: Right then about 6 mo. Although until she learned to sit up on her own she was fond of randomly throwing herself backwards. Which did not make her happy. So I had to sit behind her or put a pillow behind her hah

LO could sit up around 6 or 7 months, but I haven't started trusting him completely until recently (9 months yesterday).

Around 7 months. She started daycare at 6.5 and still needed the cushion ring.... but it wasn't long after....

DD sat up around 6 months, but DS didn't comfortably sit up on his own until he was 10 months! On the later side, but I didn't worry because he started crawling at 6 months so I figured he was on track in other ways.

@Mrs. High Heels: oh wow it's so crazy how he decided to crawl first so early! I guess going places was more important

@snowjewelz: It was army crawling, but he was fast! He is nonstop now!

DS could sit up on his own by 5 months but was a little tippy until 6 months.

If we put her up, about 6 months. She wasn't really getting up on her own til later though. Maybe 7? Then she started crawling right as she hit 8 months. (Walked at about a year.)

Thanks for asking-my husband is convinced our son is "behind" because he isn't sitting unassisted yet. He isn't even 6 months yet! Good to see that he still has some time and be within the range of normal

@ChiCalGoBee: Totally normal! I mean.. They really just rolled over! K tries SO hard to sit up but I know she sill has a while to straighten out that spine haha.
