Just curious what the average is. E is nearly 8.5 month and seems...almost scared of me clapping, and never tries to imitate me!

Hasn't yet. Also doesn't wave hi/bye. He prefers to flap his arms.
( he's 8 months today.) And he gives high fives!

I would say between 8-9 months. She didn't start doing it regularly until 10-11 months though. Now she does it all the time.

P pretty much refuses to clap herself! She *will* take my hands and slowly clap them together but her hands?.. nope!

Row loves for us to clap and will clap his hand on his leg or anything nearby but won't clap his hands together! He is 7.5 months.

DD is 7 months and not clapping. She loves its when I clap for her, and gives me smiles and laughs. I don't remember how old DS was.....

My LO is 7.5 months and started clapping all the time a few weeks ago.

B started clapping around 7 months.

9 months he jsu started out of nowhere.

8.5 to 9 months, he started clapping with closed fists, but now opens his hands.

E will only clap her feet and she's nearly 10 months old. When I ask her to clap, she pulls her feet up and starts clapping them - hilarious, yes, but I think we need to work on clapping hands! She will take mine and clap them and if I take hers and gently clap them, she will open her hands and go along with it, but still not there independently.
( he's 8 months today.) And he gives high fives!
