I tried with LO 2 yesterday and I had to scrape purple crayons out of her teeth.
Do you have any craft suggestions for LOs that like to eat everything?

DD ate crayons for a long time but wouldn't eat play doh... Go figure.
We used chalk for a while. She didn't really go after the chalk like she would crayons.

@autumnlove: LO is 22 months and is just starting to color without eating the crayons. I do have to watch him pretty closely though!

J wanted to color/draw at 11 months but he was never a 'put things in his mouth' kind of kid.
Puzzles? He was obsessed with the alphabet puzzles. Still is.

DD is 23 months and loves to color. Unfortunately she wants to color everything, carpet, other books, walls. She also thinks crayons are lipstick and tries to put it on her lips LOL

My LO is 17 months and she's starting to color after a month or so of practice (practicing not eating & keeping crayons at the table).
We've been working on it because she throws tantrums when she's excluded from coloring at daycare. We started with chalk a few months ago.

Sidewalk chalk! She hasn't tried to eat it yet and we are outside so no danger of her coloring on furniture, which she has done a few times already!

Around 14 months. It only took once of biting and breaking a crayon for her to catch on that it wasn't a great idea.
