We started Sloane in a couple of parent-child swimming classes when she was 2, but she didn't like it when they transitioned to kids only in the pool at 3, so I'm thinking we'll try something different regarding swimming.

She did a YMCA gymnastics class at 2 that was fun.

We also started her in some drop-in ballet classes at a ballet school, and a Y ballet class session at 3, and she LOVED it! I think we'll sign her up for the Fall again.

I think 3 is a great age to start some classes!

She started dance class right when she turned 3. She has dance again this fall and we're going to try soccer or gymnastics next summer.

He did group swim withou parents last winter and we'll do it again this winter. Thinking of doing tot soccer too. He'll be 3 in November.

We did gymboree at 6 months till 3 years old and we just signed him up for little gym at 3 ... little gym was weird at first because parents can't go into the class and the class is separated by glass windows and doors. I just had my nose pressed against the glass trying to hear what was going on and seeing if my kid was okay and trying to motion him into doing what the class was doing... then I thought OMG I'm that parent!! I quickly calmed down and sat with the parents. It has been really good for us because I think has taught us to loosen up a bit.

Maybe the swim class without parents would be good for your LO?

C is starting parent tot swim lessons this fall, and she just turned two. I'm hoping she likes them! We do a drop in music class, again, where I stay with her, and she has really liked that since she was 1 or so. But I don't think we will start anything else until she is closer to three.

We started N in swim at 3.5 in semi-private classes with a friend, and we're just about to start her in gymnastics starting this week at 4.5.

J is 2.5, but we haven't enrolled him in anything yet. I'm thinking we can start him off with swim classes at 3.5 too... then figure it out from there.

We started B in swim classes at 8 months, but with parents (obviously). I also took him to some music classes, and mommy/baby yoga, but I was on maternity leave and trying to fill time. I was thinking about starting him in toddler gymnastics this fall as well (he's 19 months) but that's also with a parent.

I just enrolled LO (3) in ballet lessons, starting next month.

She will also likely take swim lessons this winter. Might be a class, might be private lessons, depending on if we can get into a class or not.
