Just curious as my LO loves to make noise and "talk", but I can't really distinguish any consonants at this point.

"da da" babbling at 7 months...still haven't heard "ma ma"

He babbled a lot, but not a real "mama" until closer to 11 months.

I heard a "da" yesterday.

She's 6.5 months and has been clearly saying "da-da" for about 2 weeks now. She doesn't say it in relation to my husband though; she just babbles away at everything and loves to yell "da-da". Not so much with ma-ma, although DH said she repeated mama about 4x in a row a few nights ago after I fell asleep.

He started saying ma ma ma over and over again around 6.5 months and my IL's heard da da da the other day, he's 8 months now.

DS busted out ma-ma very clearly when upset starting around 4 months. Sometimes it is mamamamama babble and other times it is a clear short mama.....crazy boy.

Mine started at about four months. Mama and dada both.

About 4.5-5 months with clear consonant sounds.

Lala did this stuff early, like around 4 months, but M. kept pretty quiet except for vowels until 7 months. Lala was saying a few words at 7 months, M. has no signs of talking yet at 10 months.

I was about 7 months when she started saying them regularly. At 11 months, she still has no idea what they mean.

Dada started at 5 months. Mama was about 7 months.

8 months about. But not until this last month did he start saying mom and dada with meaning

M finally said Mama meaning me on her first birthday

My DD started saying "mmmm" around 6 months.

We heard the vowel consonant blends of "ma" and "ah da" around 4.5-5 months. I haven't heard them recently though so I'm sure she was just experimenting. I can't wait to hear it with meaning

He just starting ma ma ma ma ma ma ma a few days ago! Almost exactly 6 months. There was nothing that could remotely be consonants before that... just one day out of the blue... He just started trying da da today too
