As soon as he could pull up consistently! 8ish months?
We actually have a melissa and doug toy with a suction cup bottom, so we stuck it on the chest freezer! LO loves it, but DH and I often whack our legs on it!

@cmomma17: I've been considering getting him some M&D magnets! He plays with bowls and spatulas on the floor when I cook but today I noticed little handprints all over the fridge. Made me think he might be ready for some magnets

I've been wondering this, too, and our sons are the same age. Maybe I'll order some for him today and give it a go! I need something to distract him -- he gets under foot while I'm cooking which is scary when I'm working with knives or hot pans, etc.

11 months! Not on the fridge, on a magnet board, but he loves them.

I think around 14 months, but that's only because that's when she got a magnetic puzzle that had pieces she could put on the fridge. It's one of her favorite activities... she will take every piece out of the puzzle (Melissa and Doug puzzle with the pieces behind hinged doors) and carry a mess of them over to the fridge.
