I have a boy too (22 mos) and we are lucky to get 2-3 word sentences. They are very simple sentences like "Baba work" or "Baby jacket" There's lots of research that shows boys tend to develop vocabularies of nouns--especially concrete words. Girls are more likely to catch on to phrases before boys do.
