B has been chewing on his fist and drooling a lot lately. He is only 11 weeks though. Too soon for teething or should I buy a Sophie?

2 months. She had her two bottom teeth at 4 months. Sophie was a lifesaver!

Sounds like normal baby behavior, not teething (although I guess it's possible).
Suspected teething: 5 months
REAL/legit teething: 8.5 months.
I would buy sophie--LO loved her from months 4-7. However, when he was actually teething, she did nothing for him.

Miss A had her first teething episode at 3.5 months and cut her first teeth bang on four months. We knew she was teething because of the bright red cheeks, nappy rash, nursing strike and bad crankiness!

No idea about teething, but we just introduced C to Sophie this weekend, and he loves her

We had the drooling and biting at 2 months. Didn't get her first tooth until 9 months. I waited and waited for those teeth to pop through!

First tooth at 18 weeks. She had been showing signs for maybe three weeks prior but I was brushing them off thinking it was too early.

DH & my mom are convinced our 8 week old is teething because she's been fussy... I think she's just fussy

Around then R started drooling and chewing on her hands. 5 months before she started teething. I actually didn't know she was teething till I saw the tooth. She didn't have an increase in drool at all. I thought the fussiness was a wonder week.

DD was a drool monster at two months and always eating her hands. 8 months now and still no teeth! You can introduce Sophie anytime, even if he is not teething yet. My dd is not a big fan of Sophie though...she prefers smaller teethers. Good thing it was a gift.

About 4 months. If you're going to get a Sophie though, there's no harm in getting her early!
