E is 19.5 months and she has been doing this for a few weeks, too. We tried E with a potty a few weeks back for this very reason but she wasn't quite ready so we have put it away again.

She just started telling us maybe 2 months ago or so at 25 months. We just got her a potty and she's very interested in sitting on it, reading books and watching her Elmo potty DVD. Going to branch myself for training soon

About the same time as @autumnlove:. He would go behind his tent and poop in his diaper. We started potty training at 2 years old. Once we did that, he would identify his need to pee and poop better. Before that, it was kind of joke that he was pooping behind the tent.

LO is 2.5 and he's been telling us since he was 20 months. We are nowhere near ready to potty train. He has zero interest and I'm not looking to force it.

around 19/20 months. We have been putting her on the potty (and day care does) but she really just wants to sit on it for 2 secs and then wants off. She isn't ready for potty training at all.

She started saying "poop" and "toot" about a month ago, but sometimes its a false alarm. Like she'll say it just to get out of doing something, yesterday i was getting her in her car seat and she wasnt pleased about that so she said "poop" so of course i got her unbuckled to check and she didnt poop.

My favorite conversation happened a few weeks ago, we were playing on the floor in my parents living room and she walks up to me and says "poop" so i ask "did you poop?" she says "no" I say "Are you lying?" and she roared like a lion. My dad nearly fell off his chair (BTW she did poop)

Xander (2 years) recently started telling us SOME of the time. He's definitely not ready for potty training yet.

We ran into this around 18 months? She'd say "pooey". MIL wanted us to potty train her then and I said no way! And she still says it when she goes now, but she says it a LOT and sometimes i think it's a game to her.

At 2.5 - I wish she told me when she pooped.

If by telling me you mean running around screaming no when I ask him if he has pooped, then yes. Otherwise, still waiting for verbal confirmation at 26 Months!!
