A is pretty petite and has been in 2T clothes for a while now. However, she got some 3T hand me downs and some of them fit her already. She will be two at the end of August. It got me wondering when other LO's started wearing 3T clothes, she just seems too young to be going into that size already!

My LO is 21 months and in some 3t and 4t already! She has long torso and is tallish. I always buy 3t tops because I am notorious for shrinking things in the dryer.

He just started to wear some 3T tops this summer. He'll be 2 in September. He's a big boy - about 33 lbs - but for some reason his clothing size is never as big as he seems! I don't put most of his stuff in the dryer though, so that probably makes a difference.

My DS will be 2 end of August and is still wearing 18mo or 18-24mo except for pjs which are 2T. I feel like he is pretty average size for his age but maybe not.

C is 27 months and has started wearing 3T. Mostly because she's an Amazon and 2T is getting too short.

My son has hit the sizes just about right on. He is 3.5 and has been wearing 3 since probably shortly before he turned 3. He can wear 3 or 4 now.

He's almost two and still in a mix of 18-24 months and 2t.

I think right around 18 months for giant P. She is almost 27 months and pretty solidly in 4T now.

I switched her to primarily 3T around her 2nd birthday.

Wow I can't even believe so many kids are wearing those big sizes so early! Granted my little guy is tiny but he's almost 2 and still wearing 18 month clothes quite comfortably. He'll probably be 5 by the time he makes it into 3T!

@skipra: I was just thinking the same thing! I don't think of E as being especially small, but she's almost 26 months and still in a mix of 18M and 24M; with most 24M/2T things being way too big still. I have no idea when we'll get into 3T!

My son is tall and heavy and was in a lot of 3T (depending on brand) by 18 months.

My daughter's almost 2.5 years old, and wears 2T in baby Gap, but I have to adjust the waist like crazy and most of the stuff is a tad too big (but she's too tall for 18 months). She's so petite. I bought some 3T stuff for next summer while it was on sale, and it looks so huge.

LO is 20 months and I just had to buy her a 3T swimsuit because her little potbelly pokes out of a 2T...

For tops he always wears a size larger than his age, so 3T at 2 years old and now at 3 he's wearing 4T. Bottoms are usually more in line with how old he is.

A month or two ago. He can still wear some 2T/24m stuff, but he busts out of a lot of it (especially in length). Some of the 3T stuff fits well, and some is still a little baggy on him but fits better than the 2T.

we are getting there. He has a few 3T tshirts but most are still to big. He's in mostly 24 month/2T depending on the brand. He is 18 months.

He is in 3t Jammies and some shirts at 20m. Will be totally in 3t by fall, we've had to pack away lots of 2t stuff already.

It depends on the brand and style for sure. My DD is 14 months and I am already buying 2T in shirts to get a longer wear out of them. They mostly look like tunics though so we wear it with leggings. I will probably buy 3T shirts, around this time next year. Pants or shorts she is still in 12-18 months and dresses are more forgiving so I let her wear it loose in sizes 18-24 months. PJs are 18-24 months also, we're wearing all sorts of sizes. LOL

My 3 year old still fits into 2T and swims in his 3T shirts.

@yin: It's not sad! My little guy will probably be the same at 3. He wears 2T shirts and 12-18 months and 18-24 month pants at almost 2.5. I thought he was a shortie but he's one of the tallest in his daycare class!

This thread scares me. At 20 months she is still in 18 month clothing, but I have a lot of 2T clothes for her that I really hope she doesn't just grow right through before she can get good wear out of them.
