@agold: She and her husband were NTNP with the intention of TTC in a couple months. I'm not sure exactly what tipped her off to take a pregnancy test, but by the time she did, she was 2 months pregnant rather than the 1 month that she thought she was! Her son is almost a year old now.

Mine did not come back until I weaned off of breastfeeding and pumping...it probably took about 2 weeks to a month, about 9 months pp

Mine didn't come back until I completely weaned. It then came like clock work almost 2-3 weeks later.

With DD1, I dried up at 9 months and that's when it came back. Will be interesting to see what happens with DD2 who is 6 months and we're still EBF.

@Mrs. Pajamas: I didn't stop! Had IUI with injectables last cycle and I'm pregnant now! Breastfed all the way through, which is 100% safe with toddlers who only nurse a few times a day.

With DD1 it came back at 2 months PP and she was EBF and I nursed until 26 months.
With DD2 it came back at 3 months PP and she's still nursing at 19 months.

With LO 1, around 9/10 months, and LO 2, maybe 11/12 months pp. They were both breastfed until 14 months—with LO 1, i weaned because I was pregnant with number 2, and it started to hurt. I got pregnant with number 2 when LO turned 1, and got pregnant with 3 when LO2 was 13/14 months old.

With my first, it came back about 7.5mo pp. She still woke up 1x a night to nurse but was eating more solids so she had dropped her 5pm feed so maybe that is what caused it. Although I charted and my luteal phase was just 7days until I quit pumping at work when she was 1. Then it went to 9-10 days but I still got pregnant with my second easily right before my first was 2. I weaned her at 12w pregnant
My second is 7mo in a week and no period yet. He's a clinger who is still up every 2 hours at night so I'm wondering if it will be delayed longer with him

@agold: I got mine the day my son turned 10 months. I was still nursing/pumping exclusively, although he rarely nursed during the night.

I got my period back at 10 months; however, I don't believe that I started ovulating until I completely weaned at 15 months. That same month I became pregnant, and it seems my ovaries were ready to go because 2 eggs were released and now I am 16 weeks with twins!

I just got mine back this week DS is 7.5 months. He is eating solids 3x a day but I'm still nursing 5-6 times a day. With DD, AF returned at 4m but she was sleeping through the night. I don't know if that made a difference. DS gets up once a night.

@littlejoy: Ha! I'm side-eyeing it too! No fair!
@QBbride: Its crazy that your cycle was so very different with each of your two kids. And it must be so nice to not have it right now for 23 months with this currently baby you are nursing!!
@nanilani: I'm hoping mine returns soon like that!!
@delight: I can't even believe I'm hoping for mine to return. I'd normally be crying too! I just want to try for baby number 2!

@agold: 15 months for #1, and for #2, got an IUD at 3 or 4 months, replaced at 6 months, still nothing at 12 months and hoping to not see her for 4 1/2 more years...

Mine has always come back within 2-3 months of delivery, one pregnancy I was not nursing by then and one pregnancy I was exclusively nursing. It was so early both times that I was less than happy.
