My 2 year old only wants to wear polka dots, dresses or pants with pockets.

Not very picky at almost 3, but sometimes she'll change her pants 5x a day and she loves wearing skirts lately!

D1 is 2.5 years old and just recently has started to express an interest. I usually give her two options of something and she'll pick one.

She's not picky about her clothes yet, but she's very picky about shoes! Right now, all she wants to wear are her purple Crocs. :T I've actually hidden them so she can't find them - she looks ridiculous wearing them in the winter!

Still not yet with either kids! Olive does gravitate to the couple of Elmo themed items we have, but in general we have very few character items and no girly items.... plus she wears a lot of Charlie's hand me downs so I guess she doesn't have a choice to be girly!

I think she was picky by about 18-20 months. Only dresses.

@autumnlove: Ha ha, Diva! I love her!
He only cares about his shoes. Man, we have some heated arguments over what shoes to wear and when it is time to take them off. He would sleep in them if we let him!
Last week we went to a tour of a Mormon temple that is opening up nearby- a super rare thing, we had to either wear shoe covers or take our shoes off for the tour. C refused to wear the shoe covers, and screamed and cried when we took his shoes off, on a tour that was supposed to be silent. We ended up having to take turns and go separately since he would not compromise or calm down on the shoe issue.

At 15 months my LO is obsessed with a polka dot fleece jacket she has. I finally had to hide it so I could wash it. She was even insisting on wearing it over her pajamas!

She's been picky about the feel of the clothes for a while now. She won't wear anything other than "soft" pants. No other specific pickiness yet.

DD is 3 and soooo picky about her clothes now! I have to somehow convince her to wear something, like... "LOOK at this BIG SPARKLY HEART... isn't it so cute!?"... or "you get to wear THIS shirt today - it has a flower on it!!"...

She's been picky for about a year now. So since around 18 months. She doesn't like skirts, dresses, most girly things and extra layers. Her uniform is either a short or long sleeve tshirt (anything with cats on it is a plus) and leggings. I don't mind that she's picky but not being able to layer her up when it's cold stresses me out.

Just started at 20 months. She insists on wearing her patent leather dress shoes everyday! Or her crocs, which were only bought for the water room at the childrens museum. aiyayai

Around age 4 he decided he would only wear "soft" pants - which means no jeans or khakis - about 6 months later he started wearing ALL blue or ALL red and this has continued and he is over 5 now! Now he likes his underwear to match too! so funny!

Age 3 started major pickiness for my DD. She only wanted to wear dresses. 4 was much better because we would make deals (dress only every other day). My DS is already getting picky at age 2. He only wants to wear Thomas shirts. And he hates to wear sweaters.

Not too fussy yet, but she has some definite favourites. A hand me down owl shirt that I don't love, but whatever and her Elmo shirts. Anything with pockets is a hit, and we just bought her rubber boots and she is oddly in love with them.

@JennyD: most of her pants have fake or no pockets!

@autumnlove: does she ever use her pockets? Mine is usually more excited about pockets in hoodies or jackets. She just gets all excited and puts her hands in her pockets. That's it.

Since he turned 2 he's had opinions about what he wants to wear but there hasn't been anything consistent.

@JennyD: Not really, she likes to stand around and giggle while her hands are in her pockets!
