Mine had to be broken at 10cm. I don't know if this had anything to do with it but when LO came out she was in pristine condition--didn't have to be cleaned up or anything. I was really surprised!

I'm not sure how dilated I was when mine broke (at least 8cm), but it broke on it's own while I was laboring in the hospital! I went to the bathroom and thought I needed to do a BM and my water popped instead!

Mine broke on it's own at about 8cm. It was just a trickle since LO's head was blocking all the fluid. They had to nudge her to move things along. She was covered in meconium so definitely not pristine.

on it's own at home ( 37w5d.) It was trickling at home slowly, then a huge gush at the hospital when I first got there. Also, when dd came out, there was a huge gush right after. I remember my husband and the Dr shooting backwards cuz they didn't expect it. It was pretty funny.
