alright ladies - the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists recommends babies go to the dentist by their first birthday. My dentist said that 2-3 years old is appropriate. I'm confused on which one is correct. When will you or did you take your LO to the dentist?

I went by the 1st bday recommendation.

Well, at 8 months old she's toothless. So I'm not too worried about it yet. But ill probably listen to what my doctor says.

We finally went at age 2 this week! (though I know age one is the recommendation). They looked in her mouth and then put some "vitamins" on her teeth... Really I think they just wanted her to taste something yummy since she was screaming bloody murder. Then they did some expectant counseling about reduced snacking, brushing, flossing and using fluoride toothpaste and sent us on our way... See you in 6 months. But we think we'll probably delay and go back in a year.
