Some weeks I'm really good about keeping up on the house after work, some weeks I'm a total lazy ball of nothing.
Do you have a schedule? Is it hit or miss? Are you a SAHM or WOHM?
I need to be better...I get so lazy!

I clean in the afternoons after I get off work and before my DH gets home. I usually take a couple hours out of a weekend morning and do some deep cleaning. I don't have a LO to take care of though so keeping a clean house isn't difficult for me.

I thought we didn't have to clean until the babies were a year old, no?
I clean when I can. I will get really good for a week or two and then it all falls apart. Living with 3 boys, who are all gross (yes even boy babies are gross lol), does not help. I'm constantly picking up after everyone!

@Mrs. Cowgirl: LOL yeah, I was hoping somebody would have that reaction! I swear we can deep clean the house one day and it's a disaster and you'd never know the next!! I just don't know how to teach myself to pick up every night so I don't have a disaster...ugh!
@Leialou: J isn't mobile yet so toys aren't all over the place, I imagine in the next couple of months things will get muuuuch more interesting around here!

@junebugmama: YES! Even our sweet baby boys are gross. No lie. I'm just so tired by the time I get home I want to actually RELAX.
DH could care less how the house looks, he hardly notices when I do clean so that makes it hard to care haha

@babyjmama: i know! it's exhausting! lil' CB picks up his own toys every night so they're off the floor and i make sure i do the dishes before bed, but other than that..........

@Mrs. Cowgirl: Our main floor (kitchen/dining/living rooms) and J's room are usually tidy, our bedroom/office/bathroom? Yeeks. Clothes & shoes are EVERYWHERE.

I'm obsessed with keeping it clean...So, every single morning. But, on the days I know the cleaning lady is coming I won't really clean the day before.
Not everything needs cleaning everyday obviously...but like, I will do something everyday. Monday maybe all the laundry....Tuesday, maybe all the floors and carpets...Just so it never turns into a big mess.
Now that I have LO, I clean at the very beginning of his first nap...Some days not at all.

Not a mom yet, but I try to clean on Sundays. There's no time after work and I'm too exhausted to try. Sometimes I even skip Sundays but that can get bad with two pets. We'll see how this works once LO is here...

@ladyfingers: I totally understand the 2 pets thing! We ended up shaving our yellow lab after J was born because she sheds so bad! Our vet actually said he'd not seen a lab shed that bad haha...lucky us

@babyjmama: lol awesome. Our redheaded short-haired dog sheds and her hairs are like little needles! Not fun when they get on my shirt and poke my belly.

@babyjmama: Don't be. I am SO STRESSED all the time...I seriously can't do *anything* unless the house is clean. It drives DH insane.

@TurtleDoves: One of my best friends is that way, and you're right...it DOES seem stressful! She cleans her baseboards twice a month. Know how many times I've cleaned mine? Maybe 3 times. In 5 years. Oops...

I used to clean during her naps but now she's only taking one nap so I usually shower, eat, and cook during that time and haven't found time to really clean in a while... I put in a load of laundry at night and set the timer so that it's ready for the dryer when I get up... But it's hard to find time to clean my floors, dust or vacuum

Oh man, it's so hit or miss around here! I do keep up with the kitchen on a daily basis usually during/after dinner and try to do some tidying throughout the day as I see things but everything else is so sporadic. I was just thinking that I miss having a cleaning lady...need to find a new one soon!

I do what I can. Once a week I vacuum, scrub the whole bathroom, and tidy up the whole house. DS's room gets picked up most nights before bed so we're not tripping over things if we need to get him in the middle of the night. DH or I do dishes daily and wipe counters in the kitchen as we go. DH and I do laundry as needed, as we go. (So a load every other day?) I sweep 3x a week or so, mop as needed.... But that all depends on decent naps during the day, and me not needing that time to study. (I'm a SAHM by day/law student by night). Any other indoor house stuff is done by DH. Deep cleaning I do while on school breaks-- I'll pick some big task to tackle during that week, but that gets squeezed in with house projects (we just bought a house in June, and we have a lot to do still)
