We are waiting on paperwork to come in probably through the end of January/early Feb, and we usually try to get our appointment in by the end of Feb.
When do you file your taxes? Early? In April? Extension 'til Oct?

I have them prepared by mid February, we don't always file right away. But we know our liability pretty early on. I just made our 4th QTR estimated payment Friday.

I always wait until after March 15th because we almost always get an amended 1099 on our investment accounts.

Ours are pretty straightforward so we file as soon as we get all the necessary paperwork. Usually in early Feb.

Usually mid-February to early March. I want to give everything enough time to come in (and leave room for any statements with errors which need to be amended), but we never get anything back so I'm not exactly in a rush to get them done. I don't like waiting much part mid-March though because it starts to stress me out.

Early to mid February. Ours aren't very complicated so I like to just get it over with.

We always have to wait until at least March because of investment paperwork that takes a while.

I prepare them in Feb using Turbo Tax and see where we stand. If we owe money - I wait to file until April 14th...if we are due money...I file asap...
I'd rather them not have my money any longer than necessary!

we like to talk about how we really should set up the appointment in Jan-Feb, then in March I start whining about how we're going to get slayed, how NY is a socialist state and I never should have left Texas, then in April we start blaming each other, "you said YOU were going to set up the appointment" etc, then we finally squeeze in and file around April 13.

We always do ours in April because our stocks and investments don't come back until late March/early
April. Drives me insane.

I get a year to file my Austrian taxes, so I usually visit the accountant in late spring/summer. I file my US taxes in March.

President's Day weekend, using the extra day for tax prep. We do our own.

It's going to be March because that's when of our investment accounts sends out year-end statements. Otherwise, we would complete our taxes in January.

As soon as we get all of the various paperwork, we pass it on to MIL (she is a CPA and does our taxes).
