Do you start before the RSVP date? ON the RSVP date? After?
The RSVP date for DD1's birthday is Friday and we're doing good so far! Only 5 invites left that haven't responded. 4 are preschool friends and 1 is family.
I probably won't bug people till the weekend/Monday.

We had DD's first big party this year - 12 kids invited.
I voted I didn't track down invites however I did for 1 because I personally knew the mom. Turns out she lost the invite and forgot about it
The others I assumed weren't coming - 2 people rsvp'd 2 days before event

With family I would check in after the RSVP date has passed. For school friends I don't hunt them down, I assuming they aren't coming if they don't RSVP.

I start after RSVP has passed although I find people RSVP yes fairly quickly if they intend to come.

I don't. I assume they are not coming. I've had people RSVP after the date though.

I don't even put RSVP dates on invites anymore, no one ever responds anyway. =/

As tempted as I am to ask before, I hold out and let the date pass. Then maybe another day after that in case it slipped their mind. And then I'll just send a friendly text or email and say we really need a final count for food, favors, whatever. And make sure they know that either answer is ok in case they can't come and feel bad. I just need to know.

I don't bother and ask people anymore. I have a list of who usually comes and I moreso go off that now. I don't get why people don't RSVP ugh.
