I started today and have a Learning Resources food set and some Mickey & Friends books stashed away for the LOs. Costco has the best toys!

Just Thursday I bought a Learning Tower at a consignment shop. I was going to ask FIL to build one, but $85 was worth not having to hear about how much it hurt his back or whatever for the next 15 years!

This will be her first Christmas. I started shopping for it when I was pregnant. I start Christmas shopping super early though - I get serious about it around April/May, because we have a limited income and a large immediate family, and this way I can shop sales and get everyone the best value for money (plus using things like Swagbucks/Listia etc to take things further).
So far she has a few toys, mostly from Citrus Lane boxes, and a few baby lotions etc for her stocking. Her main present will be a "My first Christmas" ornament, as it can be a keepsake for her

Already did! Bought her gift from Santa--a kitchen--at Sam's the other day. Super good deal! I've also been getting stocking stuffers over the past month or two when I see things I like in the One Spot.

I've been shopping already. I have 18 kids on DH's side and 2 on my side so I always am on the lookout for good sales. One year I was working too much and was out shopping on Dec 24 and was wrapping presents all night. That was too stressful. Our DD is getting a kitchen, books, and clothes from us.

I keep an eye out for deals year-round, but I usually don't start getting serious about it until September. We're already done shopping for LO, though. Got her a Bitty Baby and kitchen both on sale. I'll probably wrap a box of diapers, too, just because she loves ripping wrapping paper

@autumnlove: I bought that food set this week! They only had like 5 left!
I started this week. I was done before December last year and it was SO nice. I want to do the same this time.

I've picked up a few things as I've seen sales or spotted something perfect. The problem is keeping to the budget when I start this early - I'm trying not to go overboard this year!

Not until late November/December. I figure the later I leave it the more idea I'll have of what she's into.

I haven't even started thinking about it but this thread is inspiring me to make a Christmas wish list for her, so I can gather ideas both for myself & others!

I have been making my lists all out, we finally got an IKEA within a decent driving distance (3 hours) so I plan on convincing DH to go down there and get quite a few gifts for LO and our nieces/nephews. They might all be getting an easel with accessories And LO I want to get a table and chairs.

I've been done for about a month. Our local co-op ran a Melissa & Doug order and a Green Toys order for 50% off. Just need to order an Ikea bookshelf for storage!

@lemondrop: Presidential blocks? I am going to look them up on Amazon right now!

@autumnlove: Lol, I've been wanting them forever for C and Zulily had a great deal about a month ago. They can be pretty pricey, but I had to get a set for us and one for our cousin/best man's boys- we always buy odd gifts for each other's boys.
Last year we got them philosopher puppets from Unemployed Philosophers Guild, they are hilarious!
