Do you wait for a certain temperature or date? It's going to be high 60s here this weekend so I'm thinking of busting out my boots for an outdoor event we're heading to. It's still a little early, but I'm itching for fall to really arrive! When do you start wearing fall clothes and boots?

When it gets cool enough for me to wear them and not sweat!

Either in October or November once it cools off. It's still sandals season here for a few more weeks.

I try to hold off for as long as possible (like Nov) b/c I live in the NE so I have PLENTY of time to wear boots. But I'll prob do ankle boots in Oct when it's cooler.

@snowjewelz: we only get to wear cute boots for Nov and Dec- then we get to wear boots for all the gross snow and slush here in NE

@cheert16: Ugh, that's true. Tho I live in the suburbs and drive everywhere so I can get away with nice boots when there are no snowstorms!

As soon as it's cool enough! I could have worn mine this week already but we've been at the playground a lot so I've just thrown on sneakers.

As soon as the average highs fall into the mid 60's, my boots come on!

@cheert16: @Smurfette: they are short boots so they shouldn't be too hit, but I'll have to wait and see how sunny it is that day. That'll probably make the difference between 60s and cool or 60s and sweaty!

Yeah, I vote low 60's or so - can't come soon enough!

@twodoghouse: For me it has to do with temperature. Once it's too cold to wear flip flops I move on to fall boots.
