Ideally April is when I would want to delivar, with 3 mths maternity leave and then my mom would watch LO for 3 mths in the summer (she works at a school), meaning I would save 3 mths of daycare payments and could wait till LO is 6mths before s/he starts. Funny thing was - this was the same setup we had for M!

Hm spring/early summer. R's birthday is at the end of June and that was a great time.

April-June. My August due date pregnancy was tough when it got humid and gross in Chicago. When we were shopping for my birthstone band for LO, the lady mentioned baby planning so the next band would look nice with the August peridot birthstone.

I think a spring baby would be nice! DS is due in August so maybe LO#2?

Dh has a big test the first weekend of June, so I wanted it as soon as possible after that- due at the end of July so it worked out! Without that I would say spring time- April to June. July is nice though because by the time I got big enough that my winter coat didn't fit it was warming up.

DS was born in April, and I loved taking care of a newborn in the spring and summer mothers. My next LO will be born in November, and I'm afraid of worrying about the cold with a newborn.

My LO was born in April. It was nice that it wasn't too hot or cold and I didn't have to be miserable pregnant in the Summer. But he was still so little during the Summer and it was really hot so we were pretty much stuck inside and couldn't really get out much. Next time I want a Fall/Holiday baby.

E was born in October and #2 is due at the end of November. I like having the holidays with a newborn and love the cool weather snuggling time. I don't like the born during flu season thing though. I think I'd ideally like a spring baby, March or April.

LO was born in July. Next time, we'd kind of like a fall or winter baby. We like the contrast of when they'd be born and it wouldn't be so hot out (learning to nurse her in July was SO hot). Plus, another LO would be small enough to be okay with moving around to our family's houses during the holidays or would be born right after the holidays and we wouldn't feel obligated to go places.

I timed my son for June as I work as a nanny and dont work in the summer so I worked up to the last week of May and then had him and was off all summer with him and went back to work in Sept with him. As it happened though it wasnt planned this way this second one is on the same time table though Im unsure about if Ill return to work in Sept in the same capacity this time around.

Henry was born in January, Emma was born in March. That means two unplanned pregnacies where the brunt of my pregnancy was during the winter months. The most uncomfortable months during freezing weather! And the most unflattering pregnancy clothing. With our next one, I want them born in the fall so I can have color in my pregnancy wardrobe instead of bleah!

@yin: @Springtime: I had a early fall baby, and I found the cold to be easier cause I could bundle her in the infant seat. We switched her to the convertible seat mid-late March at 5.5m, and the few cold snap days we had were such a pain..involved a million blankets since you're not supposed to use a thick coat in the seat.

I had a Nov baby and it worked out perfectly that we missed a Christmas baby and our maternity/paternity leave was lengthened by year end/holidays. We pretty much kept at home during the first 6-8 weeks without missing out on nice weather or activities. It was still cold after we started taking him out though. So next time, I'd like a Jan/Feb baby so that we could enjoy the Spring weather before I had to go back to work!

DH is a grain farmer so I limit myself to Winter months as I would get the most help from him. So I chose for times between November and February. (We have a dec, jan, and now EDD of dec again
)

I would like another winter baby... Mainly because the summers are so hot and miserable that I couldn't imagine doing it pregnant.

LO was born in mid June and I did not like having a newborn during the summer months. We only get a couple months of really nice weather where I live so to be inside burping, feeding, dealing with fussy baby during the warm months was not ideal. Next one is in January and that was planned because I can handle a newborn in the crappy winter months.
