At what age would it be ok to give a little girl nail polish as a gift for Christmas? Does it have to be a little kid specific polish or can I give a regular one?

@sunny: A has two kinds of glitter nail polish and she is only one, we put it on her toes
It's just regular adult polish but in tiny bottles. So cute!

I think Piggie Paint or some other uber-safe paint is fine for any age. My LO is 18M and has a couple of colors...granted, I can only paint her toes when she's asleep as she won't sit still to get a "pedicure"!
Real polish, maybe 9 or 10?

I would guess around 10 or when you see her parents allow it if earlier.

I got my friend's daughter piggy paint for her 2nd birthday
And I got my niece piggy paints for her 6th birthday too!

Ok I went for it! I've seen the girls wear polish before. They are 8, nearly 9. I got them glittery wet and wild polish. It's just one thing in their gift so I hope it's ok!

My DD got piggie paint or suncoat girl water based polish when she was 4..
