Mine is August so it never got celebrated in school either. My parents didn't have parties for me so I guess that's why I never really care about my bday, even now. Just another day!

My birthday is in November and I always liked having it during the school year. My husband's birthday is in July and a lot of his friends were on vacation so his parties were usually small. He didn't really like it.

my birthday is July 23. I always liked a summer birthday, I never had to turn bright red while the whole school sang happy birthday to me!

I like my birthday now, but for similar reasons to yours, it sucked in school. In NC, school starts a little earlier (usually the last week in August), but we still didn't know each other that well yet

March 29th. It always fell during the school year and rarely fell during spring break. I like it. It's also not a super popular birthday. I only know 2 other people who share it and didn't meet them until high school. We were all born in the same year too!

August and I love it. I remember having some kids parties, but often we would be on vacation and I'd have my birthday at my Grandparents house. I loved it. I never had to go to school on my birthday!

February 25th. I loved it as a kid because we were still in school and it wasn't too near any vacations so everyone was around. As an adult it's a bit too close to Valentine's Day. DH seems to get one good gift idea per year and by the time my Bday rolls around he's already used it up.

Mine's in May and it always falls right around (or on) Mother's Day. That's no big deal now, but I imagine once I have kids I'll be getting a lot of combo gifts.

My DH and Mom have the same birthday, June 25th, and my mom always says it's the perfect birthday, because you get presents exactly every six months (half bday is Christmas).

April 18th, and as far as the time of year, I loved it. Spring is usually in full-force, so everything is in bloom and beautiful. I grew up in the South, so it was almost always warm enough for the pool or a trip to the beach or lake. And some years it would full during Spring Break.

The big downsides for me, which I'm reminded of via television and/or internet every year, are all the not-happy events that happened right around my birthday: The Titanic, Chenobyl, Waco, Oklahoma City, Columbine, VA Tech, and the BP Oil Spill. Less recently, the Revolutionary and Civil Wars started in April, as well as the assassinations of President Lincoln and MLK.

Oh, and Tax Day, of course.

@FutureMrsMcK: our birthdays are VERY close, and i remember being bummed about some of those events too!

Mine is May 23rd! and I love it. It's almost half the year so not to close to christmas, I was still in school at the time so I was able to see my friends at my bday party and sometimes I would do it the week after and we had pool parties.

Mine's mid October and always fell on Fall Break during grade school. It was a hit and miss with parties as sometimes everyone would be in town or they wouldn't be. At least I always got the day off for my bday! Not so much as a grown up now though.

My birthday sucks. It's January 1st.

Growing up, it was nice to not have to go to school on my birthday, but that meant no schoolmates saying "Happy Birthday" to me or having teachers recognize my birthday during the day like they did for students who had their birthday during the school day.

In college, it meant not having class on my birthday, but it also meant being at home, away from my friends, and not being able to celebrate it with my friends.

When I turned 21, my birthday was on a Sunday. My friends were all hung-over from New Year's Eve parties the night before, and all the bars in town were closed.

And now that I'm 28, it still means never being able to celebrate my birthday ON my birthday because my friends are all always hung-over or tied from the night before.

Maybe it'll get better once myself and my friends all have kids and don't party/stay up late for New Year's Eve anymore? I'd like, just once, to be able to celebrate my birthday ON my birthday with my friends.

My birthday is Sept. 21 and I like it - it's the first day of fall a lot of the time - so it's not blazing hot but still warm. My baby brother's is Dec. 22 and it just plain sucks. My other brother's is May 14, which is good, except it seems to fall on mother's day a lot.

Mine is in March and I like the time of year - so special reason, though!

My birthday is in March. It was always during spring break so I got to have a birthday party at home, then we'd go on vacation and I'd get to celebrate there too. It was awesome.

LO has a summer birthday, I already feel bad for her about that.

mine is end of january and i love it! lots of things to look forward to during the holiday season!

I'm a May baby and I love it. Spring is the most beautiful time of the year, and May is the most beautiful month in spring!
