My LO wants to keep it up for her birthday party (1/2) so we will take it down the day after! It is a real tree but it is holding up very well.

Ordinarily I'd leave it until New Year's Day, but our tree is so dry that I'm already really concerned about whether it will last until 12/25. I think I'll take it down 12/26

We always leave it past the 6th (epiphany). Probably will come down the following weekend.

After we get back from our trip, so after Jan 9th or so.

We take it down New Year's Eve - I've started a tradition where we spend New Year's Eve morning cleaning the house and packing up all the Christmas stuff so we start the new year with a clean house - kind of a fresh start.

My LO is obsessed with looking at the lights on the tree. (12wks old). We just set him in his bouncer and he is entertained for quite awhile. I'm considering keeping it up after Christmas, at least until he loses interest in it.

We usually do it the first available weekend after the holiday. So this year it'll be New Year's weekend because we have a million plans Christmas weekend. Plus, that is too early for me.

@renee0106: We did that last year because my DS was about 4 weeks old at Christmas. It stayed up until about April because the lights helped occupy him when we changed diapers in the living room & when he was fussy in the middle of the night! LOL

ASAP. I love putting it up early, but once Christmas is over, I want to get my house and life back to normal immediately.

@mamabolt: Same. . . it stays up until the 12th day of Christmas.

Very soon, I forgot to add water to it for a week, so it's seeming pretty frail.

Dec. 28th.
I like to have the house ready for DD2's birthday on the 29th.

Not until after Epiphany! Christmastide doesn't even start until December 25, and we'll celebrate for the full twelve days of Christmas!

Epiphany. I like celebrating all twelve days and don't understand the rush for Christmas decorations/music etc to come up so early and then down the second Christmas starts.

We took ours down today. We're traveling and won't be home for Christmas! Usually we take it down before the new year.

@oliviaoblivia: I like this. My birthday is the 10th, and my parents always waited to get the tree until the weekend after my birthday. I appreciated the effort to keep the two dates separate!
Ours will probably stay up well into January. We were late this year and just decorated it, so we haven't had much time to enjoy it. It's a real tree, but we cut it ourselves so they usually last quite a long time.

I'm torn. We have friends coming over for NYE and our tree is beautiful so I would love to have it up when they come over. But... My in laws fly out of town the morning of 12/31. Our tree is real and it's huge (over 12') so it would be nice to have my FIL help my husband take it down.

@Mrs. Turtle: My birthday is Jan 17 and I always begged my mom to leave the tree up. I felt so special to have the tree for my birthday. It's funny how people approach things differently.
I'll wait until Epiphany to take the tree down.

@mamabolt: @Grace: @LilSprinkles: @Astro Bee: @rattles: @Ms. RV: @honeybear: @MaryM: @MUI831: we leave it up until after Epiphany, too! I 100% do not understand why people rush to put stuff up the second Halloween is over then take it down the second the 26th hits. That is just so strange to me.

Probably right away since we are going out of town a couple times the following two weeks.

We just put ours up today (I was a little busy with school to do it earlier haha), we'll probably keep it up until New Years!

I like to take it down before the new year. But this year I can see waiting until the weekend after New Years. DS loves the tree and I work next week, I don't want to take it down just a day or two after.
