When did you feel like your LO was old enough to be left alone in the bath? I'm not talking extended periods of time, but maybe while you went to another room to dress another child or something along those lines. What made you feel like your LO was ready for that?

She's just over 3 and I still don't leave her for more than 30-45 seconds! She's a klutz and it only takes a teeny bit of water to drown....

I wonder the same thing! She is almost two and I've never gone farther than a couple of feet from the door to grab a towel or something.

M is 2.5 and I've only stepped a few feet out of the room to get a towel. DH came in to a different room to ask me a question (leaving her in the tub) recently and it freaked me out. I'm sure it's fine but it's so ingrained in me not to leave her.

At 2.5 I feel pretty comfortable if I need to run to the kitchen to grab something and be gone less than a minute, but our house is small so I would be able to hear pretty well and I wouldn't leave him longer than that. Maybe 4? Definitely by the time he starts Kindergarten I would want him to be able to bathe himself I think...
