My cell phone reception isn't that good, so I'd love to have a landline! But they're not available where I live.

We used to have a VoIP landline maybe 5 years or so ago, just so I could make long calls for work without worrying about bad coverage or big phone bills. The problem was that even though we never gave the number out, we would get dozens of telemarketing calls a week! Eventually we had to shut the ringer off, unless we were expecting a call. I miss having a landline with great reception, but I'm glad to be rid of the call spam!!
