Random, I know! As part of my job I have to attend board meetings twice a month (I'm not on the board, just an innocent bystander, ha). So approximately every other week, I have to stand up (with everyone else in attendance) and say the Pledge of Allegiance at these meetings. Except I can never remember all the words so I usually just mumble my way along. It made me wonder if anyone else has to say the Pledge of Allegiance on a regular basis and if anyone else is a little foggy on the details. Before this job (which I've only been at 2 years) I can't remember the last Pledge of Allegiance I said - maybe in grade school. What about you - when was the last time you said it?

I was reading my class a book about the Pledge of Allegiance since its almost President's Day.

i can't remember if we did it in high school. last time i did it was in school - whichever grade they last do it at. before college. lol. i still remember the words.
i pledge allegiance to the flag (why would you pledge allegiance to a flag?)....

I say it every day at work (school) during our morning meeting with all the kids.
@Tequiero21: You pledge allegiance to the flag as a symbol of something greater. Since the next line is "for which it stands".

I was a girl scout leader, but stopped when I got pregnant with lo. We'd say it at the beginning of every meeting.

@tequiero21: That's the end of the first line, but the line after that is "and to the republic for which is stands".
Last time I said it was maybe last year? A little cousin came home from school excited that he had just learned the Pledge of Allegiance, and a bunch of us older cousins tried to see if we could remember it. We went to a private school when we were younger, so we also checked to see if we could remember the pledges to the Bible and Christian flag that we recited every morning.
