I was at a Christmas party last night and all I can say is that there are going to be some awfully sore heads today....as is usually the case after Christmas parties I would guess! There were five people at my table who were drinking - they all started with a pint of beer, then finished off six bottles of wine between them, then moved on to Jägerbombs by the time I left - and there was still an hour of the party left to go! I was quite glad I had the excuse of being pregnant as a reason not to imbibe, but I seriously felt like I had a secondary hangover on their behalf this morning!
It got me thinking as to the last time I had a hangover....and I couldn't even remember when that was! Definitely some time ago, but I know it was since I turned 30 as I wasn't really even drunk, just mildly so, but the hangover lingered for two days and I remember thinking how it was true what everyone says about hangovers lasting so much longer the older you get!
Aside from all the obvious reasons why I wouldn't ever want to be drunk again, the thought of a lingering hangover is probably my biggest deterrent! When was the last time you were hungover? Has it been true for you that the older you get, the longer hangovers linger?
