Yesterday for us. We had some high wind storms come through and we lost power twice. First for 30 min and the second time for 4 hours. Luckily, it wasn't longer than that.

in the middle of the night on Nov 1. A storm rolled through & the rain was so loud it sounded like we were in a car wash! Thunder woke up Chloe, and the power went out right as I got her out of her crib!

Yesterday too! It went out while I was inside of Costco for a little bit and then for almost 2 hours at my parents house. The wind storm was nuts. A tree fell in front of my car while driving! So scary.

About a month ago. In the middle of the clear blue afternoon too! It sucked because there was NO reason for it (not even wind) and I was just getting ready to walk out the door but got stranded because my car was in the garage being held hostage by our electric garage door! It took a 20 min call to my dad, a flashlight, and a ladder to get it up manually. What a PITA haha.

@Mae: the power at our apartment used to go out for hours for no reason at all. I swear a dog would bark & we'd be in the dark. We once listened to a steelers game using a backup battery & an old radio LOL

during hurricane sandy, our power went out but luckily not for very long--I think it came back in the middle of the night but I don't remember.
our internet, on the other hand, goes out quite frequently, including last week for 2 days, and it's super annoying! esp because dh works from home (his office is out of state) and he needs internet to work. but of course, less scary/damaging overall.
