Mine will be when she is 8 months. Going away with for the weekend with the girls. As much as I am looking forward to it so nervous about leaving R all weekend with DH. And how much I will miss them.

So far not yet and she is 15 months old. The longest I have been away from her is 10.5 hours.
I don't think we will spend a night away from her for at least another year and a half, since we are having another one and I wont want to leave her until she is done breastfeeding.

haven't been away for more than a night. think it was about 36 hours! going away for a night for work next week and then two weeks after. i have a girls trip planned for when she's 18 months. since we're still BFing, it would be more hassle than fun at this point!

Haven't been away from her longer than an evening out. No plans to anytime soon since she still often wakes up to nurse and I think she would flip out if I wasn't there in the night.

I went away for a full week when she was 7 months old. I cried my eyes out when DH dropped me off at the airport with her. She also glared at me a bit when they picked me up, in a "where the heck have you been?" kind of way.

We've done a lot of overnights away but we're doing two nights away in Nov when she'll be 11 months.

We have a wedding two hours always in October so we will spend one night away from LO. She will be almost four months then. I don't want to spend the night away but it's a late wedding.

Still haven't done one...hopefully sometime early next year when he isn't nursing as much and is night weaned (please oh please). I am looking forward to a trip away!

DH and I are spending a weekend away in September for our second anniversary. M will be 11 months old and will be with my parents. I'm looking forward to it but I'm sure it'll be hard!
I work a few overnights a month but M is here with DH so that doesn't count.

I still haven't done one. DH is enroute to his hometown for his grandfather's funeral. He's going to be gone until Tuesday. It's the longest any of us have been away from LO. I'm solo parenting all holiday weekend!

@cascademom: me too! Dh is going away to a bachelor party til Monday night....I told him I need a mental health day when he gets back!

@hilsy85: same here. I'm doing a night out with friends on Saturday. We had a lot of plans, but life happens. He encouraged me to keep the night and get a babysitter. It'll be a break from a long weekend.

DH and I went on our delayed honeymoon/babymoon and left LO with my sister for a week at 26 months. Longest week ever!

I did a girls wine country trip when DD was 9mo and I lovvvved it. Plus it gave DH bonding time with DD so it was a win win.

Not yet-- I have a business trip planned in NYC (we live in CA) for 5 days in November. Hubs has been away from her for a long weekend for Spring Training back in March (she was almost 8 months). She's 13 months now!

EBF and spent 27 hrs away from LO when she was 15 weeks! Was proud of myself
I pumped the whole time which was a bummer, but DH and I really needed a day and night away. She was with my parents and did great.

I will be spending 3 days and then 4 days away from LO in October. She'll be 6 months old :). I'm looking forward to the trip(s)!

Not until DS was 16 months! DH and I went to Paris for 2 nights (we were living elsewhere in France at the time). My MIL took care of him. I freaked out, but it was nice to have a getaway with DH. We might have done one earlier, but where we lived before we didn't have anyone we could have left DS with for an extended period of time.

I'm so nervous, I'm going to a wedding shower across the country for three nights when she's 10 months. DH is watching her. Before and after that, we have two more weddings to go to for which we have to leave her with my parents! Kinda freaked out, but I know it will be good for DH to watch her. I guess I'll continue to pump 2x a day on all these trips away?

In October right afer she turns a year we will do our first extended trip! I'm nervous but excited to have some adult time!

We went for a week when she was five months. That was actually much easier of a time than after six months would have been. We had to leave her for three days at 10 months and separation anxiety led to some sleep problems (or just a coincidence?) after the trip..

Dh and I were offered the trip of a lifetime. A week on a tiny island in the Bahamas and all we paid for was food and gifts. We never had a honeymoon and knew it would be ages before we could do something like that for ourselves. It was HARD. I had a lot of anxiety and almost had a panic attack in the water when we went snorkeling. That being said, it was an unbelievable vacation. J was 9 months old.

I went on a business trip to the UK when she was 10.5 months old. It was hard but not as awful as I thought.

lo is 12 months and i just can't envision leaving him anytime soon.
i don't think you'll die, but i think it will hurt! good luck, mama!
eta: BUT if you're leaving her with dh i think that will be much much easier than both of you leaving.

LO is 2 and so far I've only had single nights away. Two times DH and I stayed at the beach while my parents babysat. Both times I enjoyed myself... but made DH rush home right after breakfast in the morning to see LO.
In December I'll be away from her for my hospital stay with baby #2. I know she'll come visit.... but I'm still not looking forward to being away from her

We did a week away when LO was 8.5 months! It was kinda hard, and I had to pump and dump the whole time - but we had fun and ultimately it was a nice break! I did wake every morning thinking that it was only X days till I was home though.

Almost 3 months for LO. I haven't left the baby yet!

Not yet...and my oldest is over 2 now. (But we don't live near any family that could babysit so it's mostly a logistical issue).

I had a business trip when LO was 7 months - four days/three nights.

I haven't left him overnight yet and he's almost 11 months! I think the first time I leave him will be when I'm in the hospital when DD is born! I'm dreading it

I was away for 4 days when DD was 15 months old but DH was home with her. I missed her so much!
