We drove to Hilton Head Island last July! I think it was 5ish hours away?
The drive there was misery, but the drive back wasn't bad.
6 hours is the max I can do in a car with 2 kids!

@chopsuey119: DH tried to convince me that we could drive all the way to Alaska (4300 miles!!...with an infant!) I'm SO GLAD I put my foot down, lol!

We were just in the outer banks in June... 9 hours one way and 7 1/2 back... Too long for me and DS

We are on our first one now! Drove down to Maryland from NYc for the weekend and it wasn't too bad. We timed it around DD's nap and of course she only napped 40 minutes instead of the usual 2 hours. Not proud of it but thank goodness for Baby Einstein so she wasn't screaming from being overtired. =P

We drive to San Diego about once a month.. It's only three hours so I don't know if it counts. We drove from LA to Salt Lake City last year. That took us two days.

We drove 3 hours to visit my family last month, but the last road trip, road trip we took was in 2007. Hubby drove from Houston to OKC (8 hours) to pick me up, then drove to Breckenridge, CO (10 hours), then drove to Kansas City just to eat BBQ (9 hours), then back to OKC (6 hours). When we were young and gas was cheap...

Vernon BC in 2009. Approximately 18 hours. Stopped twice on the the way there (in Regina to visit friends and Banff to sight see) and only once on the way home. Was my first time driving through the mountains and unfortunately got a little car-sick so couldn't experience it as fully as I wanted, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Probably go further into BC. We're big fans of road trips.
I guess the last smaller one was to Regina (6 hours) in the fall for a wedding. Went with a group of friends in a packed van. Gong show.

We've taken a bunch this summer. We got stuck in traffic back in May and our 6 hour trip turned into 8, luckily it was 6 hours back. We had several 4-6 hour trips since then when DH was away and we'd meet up with him on the weekends. Took a 7 hour trip to the beach a couple weeks ago. LO is surprisingly good in the car, though I'm worried with 2 our little world is going to come crashing down. And unfortunately we have a bunch of trips planned for when I'm about 8 months pregnant. Most of them are a little over 4 hours but one is more like 8 hours so we might just end up flying (though LO is staying with the gp during that long trip).

We drove from NY to Pittsburgh last sept to see a Jets/Steelers game. I was 6.5 mo pregnant so there were many rest stops along the way!

In May I returned home to SW North Dakota from SE Pennsylvania, 1,700 miles over 3 days, just me and the two little people. Yeah, it was lots of fun, lol, or not. Actually, it wasn't bad. Usually when the whole family goes back east for a visit, we do it over 2 days instead of 3, so 3 days of driving didn't feel quite as bad as a solo driver when it was only 8-10 hours a day.

We went to Savannah 2 years ago. I think it took around 5 hours.

Five years ago, drove from Sacramento, CA to Portland, Oregon with my husband. It was such a beautiful drive. It took us a full day to get there since we made pit stops to look around in different cities. Our next rode trip will be this weekend, driving from Orange County to the Bay Area for a wedding with our 6 months old for the first time.

DH and I just went to the Outer Banks with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law and our niece and nephew. It's only about 3 hours each way for us, but it was so fun to be with family (and to see DH with the kiddos - they're 7 and 9).

DH and our two small dogs made the move from Hoboken NJ to the SF Bay Area last summer -- we did it in five days and it wasn't too bad! We were on a mission, though, so we didn't get to do any sightseeing really...but it was a pretty fun experience!

February of last year. We drove from Kansas to Georgia to visit family. DH had block leave and we wanted to make sure we made it home before moving. Then we turned around and went back. 16 hours each way!!

We just got back from a 4250 mile (about 60hrs) driving vacation with a 10m old and a 3 yo. The most we drove in one day was 14.5 hrs.
We broke the trip up, driving for 3 hrs then stopping for 1hr. We stopped and stayed the night after about 9hrs of driving with exception of the final day when we did all 14hrs because we just wanted to get home. The kids did fabulous and although available, DD only watched about 4 hrs of DVD in the entire trip.

OBX last September. It's ~8-10+ hours depending on traffic. We've gone annually since the year we were engaged, around our anniversary time, but won't be this year DS was ~8 mo the first time he took the trip (unless you count when he was 3 mo inutero).

Beginning of the month we went 3 1/2 hours one way and 5 on the way back. LO did great, we planned around bed time on the way there and nap time on the way back. We took one break on the way back & she did fabulous!

Last week we drove to/from Colorado (we live in Utah)...we took a boring freeway route there and a nice windy mountain/backroad way back. 8 hours there, probably 10 hours back.
In June we drove from Indiana to Utah, which took three days, at the height of a heat wave, with a non-functional air conditioner. NO. Not fun.
In December we drove from Utah to Long Beach, CA, which is about 15 hours. We broke it up and spent the night in Vegas, which was a lot of fun!
In general, I really enjoy roadtrips! Of course, we don't have any LOs yet, so I may not enjoy them as much once they come along
