Our monitor crapped out months ago and I just haven't replaced it yet.

So funny, we were just talking about this last night!
Our conclusion was "Don't know, but not yet"

never??? but seriously, our bedrooms are not on the same floor so the monitor comes in handy.

Our place is small. I haven't even gotten around to getting one.

Um, when she's 18?! I'm only partially kidding. Last night we couldn't turn the monitor on until DH was done his FF draft (because our monitor interferes with our wifi) and I had SERIOUS anxiety.

Haha, DH and I are laying on our bed staring at the monitor right now! Please go to sleep, LO!
I don't know if I'll ever feel comfortable enough to stop

@heartonastring: eep. Interferes with your wifi? Which one do you have?
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@prettylizy: Summer video monitor. Not sure which model, it was a gift.
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
@heartonastring: we're in the market for a new one but I'd die sans wifi..... Seriously.

@prettylizy: it doesn't completely knock it out (monitor is on now and I'm online). Just sometimes.

That's a good question! I really love being able to see her on the monitor. It's hard for me to imagine a day where I say "never mind, I don't need to keep an eye on you".

I didn't watch last night for two hours (windows were open so easy to hear crying) and he threw up! I didn't know until dream feed time and I felt so bad! It's literally the first time I haven't watched.

I only use it to check on him occasionally so I could survive without it now that he's a toddler but when he was less than a year I wouldn't have made it without it!
We'll probably use it til he's 3-4. Or when we have another baby.

When it breaks, or when she goes to college, whichever comes first.
honeydew / 7917 posts
Never! He will probably hack into it and stop it from streaming when he's 5.
eggplant / 11824 posts
Never. I'm totes going to be using it as a hidden cam to make sure she isn't sneaking out to meet boys when she is 16! bwahahahhaha

Um DS is 11 months and I still use the Angel Care motion sensing monitor any time he's sleeping. I also just bought another Angel Care for baby sister since I don't think I'll be ready to disconnect E's in 2 months. DH thinks I'm insane.

@Running Elley: baha. How did I know this would be your answer?
I personally plan on leaving it in there through the middle an high school years to prevent teen pregnancy.

@TurtleDoves: Lol I'm going to drive myself crazy with monitors beeping all over the place! But for my peace of mind...ill do it!

@Mrs. Pen: That's why I bought the one with 2 cameras right from the beginning!

LO is 15 months now and we turn it on when we go to bed, which is a couple of hours after her bedtime. We really only use it to see when she wakes up in the morning.
The first year, we could not have lived without it for a minute, but now she STTN with no issues.
