I don't think I would do Disneyland until she is 3 or 4 but we did take her to the SD Zoo at 5 months!

*I* haven't been to Disneyworld/land, Lord only knows when my kids will make it! Probably not until our youngest is old enough to remember, around six or seven.

I'd take her when she will be able to really enjoy and remember it. But she'll probably go before that since DH's dad & little brother live near Disney.

My sister wants to take LO to Knott's when we visit CA in a couple of weeks. I guess there's an area for kiddies?
We were thinking about taking her to Disney World in September (at 1.5 years old), but will probably wait another year or so until baby 2 arrives. I think it'll be fun for her when she's 3 and will be fun for little brother when he's at least 16 months old.

We'll prob take LO around the holiday time (she will be about 5 months). I used to work st the Resort so I still have tins of close friends who can sign us in. if it wasn't free, I wouldn't take my kids until they were 3 or 4.

We waited until DDs were 10 and 3. I couldn't afford the trip earlier with #1 and then we waited until #2 was old enough. I thought she was at the perfect age, she really enjoyed the characters and could go on some of the rides (she is a daredevil so she loved most of the ones that go up in the air).

Not until at least 4. I would like to be down to no required naps, but free to take them if needed.

we have the option to go to our local amusement park each year for a huge discount through my dad's work.. we skipped this year since I have a 5 mos old.. I MIGHT consider it next year when he is 1.5 years, and probably for sure the year after. There is a really cute little kid section of the park with fun little rides and activities. My mom can't ride anything because of a bad back, so I know she'd love to have him along.

Disney would be a flight for us so we would have to make a vacation of it. Because of this, not until our youngest is at least 5. If we were going to be in the area I probably still wouldn't go unless the child was at least 3. Prior to that I don't think they would get enough out of it to justify the entry fee.

@Mrs. Bee: we took CB to disney world this past february when he was 2.5. he LOVED it. the rides were a little scary (except for the dumbo-type rides and small world and the carousel), but he adores mickey mouse and loved meeting him and was in heaven during the live shows and parades. now, my parents paid for the whole thing because they were down there for a conference and we flew down at the end, so i'm not sure if we would have gone all on our own, but we certainly don't have any regrets.

the other thing to remember is that kids under 3 are FREE. (once you're 3, you still have to pay $80 or something like that) if charlie likes cars, he'll probably LOVE the new cars area at disneyland and if you bring along your mom or a friend, she can hang with the kids while you go on rides here and there.

We took our son at 6 months old for the first time. And it wasn't for him, it was for me. He was free anyways. My mom went with us so she watched him while we did all the crazy rides. He loved the Haunted Mansion and Ariel's rides. They were slow with lots to look at.

We just took him again for his second time yesterday and he was in heaven. We were just hanging out with friends so it wasn't a huge deal for us. I will add pictures of both times when I get home from work.

Disney has been great. They are really good about food allergies. Yesterday the lunch place we went to double checked that everything we ordered was allergy free. They also have the mother's rooms. There is one in each park (though the Disneyland one is better than Cal Adventure). They have smaller toilets for potty training and nicer changing tables. They have a place with rocking chairs that you can breastfeed (or pump) in. They also have a microwave for warming water or food. You can buy things you didn't bring (or bring enough of) like diapers and food.

I just bought an annual pass to take him whenever we are in the area. I'm really excited for it.

Edited: We live 2 1/2 hours from DL and go to LA at least once a month.

We'll probably take LO around age 2; but only because we have friends and family in LA and would be going to the area for a visit anyway. Otherwise, we wouldn't make a vacation of Disney until later...maybe 4 or 5. I am usually pretty anti pretty-princess stuff, but I cannot wait to take LO to the princess salon to get her hair done by a fairy godmother. I would have LOVED that ad a little girl!!!!!

Picture 2 & 3 was our visit yesterday at 15 months old.

We’ll probably take him when he’s about 2. We originally were planning on waiting but we live in CA and both of us love Disneyland so we’ll be ready for a family trip by then anyway! We may even go sooner… But we will definitely be going while he’s under 3 and free

disneyland is soo expensive now... even though we live 15-20 min away from dland and a lot of our friends have annual passes, we don't plan on taking her until she can remember... maybe when she's 5-6 years old.

@eiko2010: My family lives super close to Hershey too! Likewise, we will not pass on an opportunity to go at just about any age (to Disney, Hershey or any others really) but I would probably wait until 3 if we are making a special trip out of it. I would love to do Disney at preschool/late toddler age and then again with them when they are elementary school aged. I think they would have two really different experiences but both would be great.
