DIY. It doesn't take us long to assemble furniture and I enjoy the process. I put T's crib together in less than 30 min

We put it together ourselves. It's not so bad. I find it fun to do!

DH does it. I admit sometimes I get impatient too but if I wanted to spend more $ usually I'd get delivery of reassembled furniture from somewhere else.

We put together ourselves because honestly, it really doesn't take us that long. I would never spend extra money for somebody else to put together for me.

DIY. I put together both of my children's twin beds recently all by myself and was pretty proud! I like assembling furniture though, so I do it more than DH. If I had more spare time I'd learn carpentry as a skill on the side. I wish I knew how to sand, furnish, re-upholster, etc.

We used to DIY ikea, but we would get it delivered because bringing if into our apartment was challenging.

I usually do it by myself, I kind of enjoy it. sometimes I've gotten my dad or dh to help once I've gotten the plan laid out but both of them refuse to read instructions so it's often more of a pain with having to take things apart when they're involved.

I usually do it myself. I've always liked putting furniture together. DH helps if I need it, but I usually want to do it ASAP which means I don't want to wait on him to help me.

Furniture from ikea we DIY. But we got a complicated closet system from container store and paid for the professionals to do that. I'm SO glad we did, it took the guy less than an hour -- like I went to the gym when he arrived and he was gone by the time I got back -- and it would have taken us foreverrrr.

We always put it together ourselves. I enjoy it! DH does not, but he'd never pay to have someone else do it, so he sucks it up and helps me.

The reason IKEA furniture is cheap is because you have to assemble it. If I was going to pay for assembly, I'd just buy better furniture that came delivered and assembled from a local shop!

DIY. Although when I had Ikea furniture to assemble I enlisted two guy friends to help. One repairs furniture by trade and he put everything together super fast.

My husband will help once he sees me struggling and then he just takes over, but is slow since he's out of his element.

I do it myself.

That Hemnes dresser took Dh and I a few hours though!! Sooo many pieces.

I would advocate outsourcing a lot of things, but Ikea assembly is just not that bad. My husband and I have assembled plenty of Ikea items together and it has not once resulted in any kind of argument. He's pretty handy, though, and I am very visual so we don't usually make too many mistakes.

I enjoy putting stuff like that together.

But I learned that DH and I do not work together well on that. He's not a directions reader, and then gets really frustrated if it's not easy (which it would be if he was using the right pieces!)

He usually gives up and lets me do it myself.

DH insists on DIY. If it were me I would pay. If it were me I would HAVE to pay because the things I put together never work out quite right...
