Do you cook the neck, livers, and other parts too? I do only if my MIL is visiting. That's her favorite part of the chicken. I could never eat them myself!

No... most of the chickens I buy don't even have the innards. if they do, I discard them.

I only buy chicken that comes without all that stuff. If it did come with it, I'd toss it.

I also buy chicken without the gross stuff. But I rarely cook a whole chicken because DH's stomach is too sensitive to eat chicken off the bone.

I usually discard all the innards, but if I'm making chicken stock, I will throw the neck into the pot or else it goes in the trash.

I didn't know you could buy them without it. Are they more expensive?

@mamabear57: same-- I usually toss them but if I'm making stock I will save it and toss it in the pot for extra flavor. I would never consider cooking them to eat it- ew.

They usually don't have the innards when I get a chicken. If I did, I'd probably celebrate and make stuffing!

I normally purchase a whole chicken without the neck and innards. If it comes with innards, I toss them.
