...What/how do you clean?? LO has a cold, I feel like our world is very germy, and while logically I know that just frequent hand washing is the most important thing, I have the urge to disinfect! I keep adding random things to my list like my keyboard, phone, her car seat cover... I just want to wash all the things!
What do you do when you want to kill the germs?

It's insane. Everything gets cleaned. EV.REY.THING. I even disinfected the inside of my washing machine.

Light switches, door knobs, I get in moods where I NEED to disinfect our house in order to sleep at night.

@Mrs.KMM: No - I am the worst housekeeper ever. But the germy feeling is making my skin crawl. Ideally, I would make the list of things to disinfect and someone else would do it 
@HLK208: @avivoca: Ooh, good to add to my list, haha! What do you use? I am stuck because we are out of vinegar and bleach, and LO is napping! I can't wait to go to Target and buy all the cleaning things.

Lysol wipes and doing a lot of laundry! Things that get wiped: counters, doorknobs, cabinets where you grab at it, handles (doors, knobs to turn on water, etc), keyboards, mouses, remote controls, the handles to bins we use a lot, railing, buttons (microwave, humidifier, etc), backs of chairs, sides of closet doors where you grab at it...
I even own bleach wipes, but I have a good reason for that.
With just one kid I didn't bother too often but dd just had a fever for eight days! So I was trying to avoid ds getting it too because we are on a trip.
On a regular day though I make a conscious effort not to disinfect too often.

@avivoca: lol, that sounds like something I'd do if I didn't use community laundry. I have been known to wipe down the outsides of those machines too though!!

I hate cleaning. But DD has HFM right now so I wipe down all countertops in the house, all doorknobs, remote controls, any toys that I can run through the dishwasher, car seats and seats of the car, crib, bed, wash bedding and any other laundry.
I also use lemongrass essential oil and diffuse it throughout the house and I swear it just smells cleaner!

What? I'm so confused. Am I the only person who shamelessly foists as much housework as possible onto other people (husband & nanny)? I very, very occasionally get the urge to declutter / organize our crap. But "disinfect"?
I like to linger in a hot shower. Does that count?

I very rarely get this urge but right now I want to wipe everything because I might have lead paint around since my son tested with elevated levels! I keep noticing tiny chips everywhere.

Actually one time I felt this urge, my son was a newborn and our friends came over and their preschooler puked on the way there. Would have been a fluke, chalked up to carsick, but then they mentioned she puked the night before! I was ordering dh around to disinfect everything the second they left and I didn't even enjoy their visit!

@Mrs.KMM: ha, I was just thinking this too. When my younger son had HFM I said to myself I should disinfect everything but was too lazy to actually do it. Terrible! We thankfully do have a cleaning service every 2 weeks so at least something is getting done.
