I define "better seat" here as the seat closer to the middle of the theater. A single seat can make a big difference if you're sitting near the aisle.
I usually give the better seat to Mrs. Bee, unless we're sitting pretty close to the center of the rows. Then it doesn't matter as much either way, I think.

I like to be closer to the middle & he likes to be closer to the aisle (he has TB aka: tiny bladder), so I guess I get the better seat, but we each get the seat we prefer.

Me, unless we are on the end. He will offer it to me but I'll normally give it to him.

We always get the back row and all the way in the corner so the DH can get up without having to step over people. I think we both have the better seat because no one is in front of us.

I usually go inside and get seats while my husband goes to the concession stand. I save the better seat for him.
